Default New and wanting to do swaps.

Ok so I am new to quilting. I would like to swap but would rather swap fabric right now as I don't want to send something not up to par. Are their any fat quarter swaps? Or fat eight swaps? I am trying to improve my stash of fabric.

Start watching next week... sign up for the Secret Pal swap else there is usually a 6 1/2" fabric block swap. Sign ups for the 10 1/2" neutral cake block is going on right now. There is also a FQ swap to watch for.

Welcome to the board. Watch the Swap area for monthly Fat Quarter swaps. November is already in motion but December and onward will be coming up. I sure enjoy those little packages of fabric that come to me each month that I choose to participate. You can give it and try and if one month is particularly busy for you, you can skip that month. It is month by month and not a year long commitment. The announcement will be made by brenda21. Again, welcome and enjoy the community of quilters on the board.

Hi there and welcome. You are in for such a wonderful time. I too was in your position just about a year ago. I started with the fq swap and then decided to try the secret pal. Once I did that one I was addicted to it. It is so much fun. Dont worry about things not being up to par. Everyone here is so great and really accepting of newbies. You should see some of the creations I made at first, like Edna the Elephant. I worried about it not being as good as most but everyone loved her especially her new owner. That is what the swaps are for to learn and mostly to have fun. I have made tons of new friends and received gifts that blow my mind. Just check out the post often for the new swaps and enjoy. You will find the ones that fit your likes and niches and love it as all of us do.

Love the secret pal swap...it will be open to sign up at the end of the month. It is a once a month swap and sooooo much fun...we send fat quarters, fat 1/8, scraps, new and old magazines...so much fun. Go look at the one for November and you can see what people are receiving...it is just so exciting to wait for your package and to hear what your secret pal thought about what you sent. It is run by Lori Peercy and she is awesome!

Hiya MamaMay, Brenda21 does the fatquarter swap every month i have been doing it for the last few months and have been really enjoying it, quite a few particiate an I just love the variety a fat quarters i get, i'm new to quilting so this has helped me get a little stash built up, i usually have two partners a month but you can do only one if you want. I have really enjoyed it. Send a pm to Brenda21 for her to include you for the December swap, she will be sending out the notice soon, it is a quick swap since it's just fat quarters. Welcome and enjoy!!
