Muv, has your DQ arrived yet? I was so hoping it would only take a week like the lovely one you sent me.

Hello Oldcatlady - No, it's still on the way. I dash to the porch every day like a big kid.... the suspense! I'm probably going away this weekend, so I expect it will come when I'm away.

We were just extra lucky that mine to you only took a week.

I hit the jackpot! A lovely log cabin by the very talented eagleoneowl2u2 and gobs of goodies. The log cabin strips finished at one-half inch! It's so amazing in person. Thanks again Christina, I love everything!

It came yesterday! What a beautiful DQ I received from LindaC! It was the last day to receive mail at our old address so I was so relieved that it came. I didn't trust the PO to forward it. I haven't had the time to figure out the new way to post pictures due to packing for my move, so you will have to wait until I am settled and have time to do so before I can show you a picture of my wonderful quilt. Happy holidays to all!

Gosh, guess what Santa had up his sleeve for me! My little quilt from Oldcatlady arrived today, so I can't possibly open it yet - it's gone straight under the tree for me to open on Christmas day!

Thank you Oldcatlady, and thank you postman for getting the delay just right!

    Default Happy Christmas Everyone!

Here is the beautiful little quilt from Oldcatlady that I opened this morning... lovely shades of soft green and pink with a glittery snowflake in the middle. It's not every year I get roses for Christmas. I have a little display case containing dried roses on my sewing room wall, and this quilt is perfect for hanging next to it. It is even exactly the right size for the space on the wall. Thank you so much Oldcatlady, you made the perfect Christmas quilt for me!

For all those of you who are several hours behind us and still in the throes of cooking, I can tell you that the roast beef, guinea fowl, roast spuds and parsnips, sprouts and gravy went down a treat. We are just having a quiet couple of hours before we go the pub over the road for a snug little lock-in. If you don't know what a lock-in is (it's not quite the same language on the other side of the Atlantic) just keep guessing and treat it as a Christmas quiz.

    Happy Happy Christmas!!

Muv, it's beautiful. Have fun with the rest of your day. Will be sitting down with the family soon for christmas dinner. We eat early and then just have leftovers the rest of the day.
