The magenta fabric is a thin silk type so I folded each raw edge to the center pressed then machine appliqued. I was thinking this step would give away where I am going for sure, lol, guess the mystery persists

I gave my original wall hanging to a friend of mine for her dog to sit on when he comes on the couch! The dog won't notice that it's way too crazy busy ...

Found a quilt block called city streets ... like that one ... and am in the process of having the centres embroidered ... let's hope this one works out better !!!

Well curiosity got the better of me and I googled city streets quilt pattern, but lots of different stuff came up, no one that repeated enough to know it was it, and nothing that was embroidered showed up.

It is COLD here today so I'm working in the house, and my choices were to clean or sew, now that is a no brainer!!!! I have been working on the WH, and am absolutely loving it. I hope I don't mess it up w/ the quilting.

Circles are nothing but bias, and when sewing them to a backing, even one that is straight of grain, is all bias, two bias sewn together is not friendly!!! js.

I've attached a block of what city streets looks like (I'm assuming that's what it is ... I got it off Pinterest)

And here are the two embroidered blocks that I am using for the centers

OK, smack forehead ... you would think I would measure ALL my fabric to make sure I have enough to start this project LOL

NOPE!!!!! Missing red fusion bloom ... just ordered more ... so have to put a stop to the project for now.

Maybe I'll go learn how to use my serger ... it's been sitting in the box for 4 months now!

Marionsquilts, at least your little quilt found a good purpose. You sound a lot happier with your new choice. Beautiful Embroidery and a nice block to frame them in.
