Ube I love your background fabric!! It would make up into some really great dresden kaleidoscopes!!

I have a BIL who always used to tease me with blonde jokes. Love your wall hanging!
LOL when we were kids we used to play hide and seek in the corn fields! LOL Couldn't hide in this cornfield!

Ok, here's the one I am sending to whoever:
And here's the one I started but just am not too crazy over:
Maybe someone can give me an idea of how to improve it - something to jazz it up. To me it just looks blah!!!

Hi Jeanne49, I like both WHings. Maybe you are more drawn to saturated color like the first WH. As for the second one that you find blah, I would go with some dainty embroidery.
The bow would get white or slightly darker blue french knots to get a polka dot effect.
Around the wreath I would do some single thread, curvy stems with little leaves and pink buds.

IMHO, I really like the outer border treatment but I think it is too dark for the spring like wreath. I would try the leaf green for that outer border.

I would love to get my hand on this! It is not as blah as you envision.
peace

I think both are pretty, but agree I am drawn more to the deeply saturated orchid flower too. I agree w/ all of Ube's suggestions.

Thanks for the advice Ube, I'll take that border off and try what you said. I'm not very good at embroidery, as I only ever did counted cross stitch, but I'll give it a try - or better yet, I can send it to you and you can have it, and I'm not kidding.

Jeanne they are both great. Perhaps the wreath will pop with FMQ in the white spaces?
