I'm in the same boat Omak so don't worry! I am putting on the last two borders right now and then I will finish the whole thing between tonight and tomarrow. It won't go out til Monday either. But it will be in the mail on Monday.

I just had too many deadlines and life interfering! But I am back on track now pretty much.

Well, today was the deadline to mail... I didn't meet the deadline.

The quilt is done, there might be a little something else to go in the package with it, but that's as far as it got as I haven't left the house today. I had planned to go to the PO early this morning, but it was snowing hard and I wimped out. I'm hoping that the recipient will understand.

And for the person who has/will send mine, not having it yet is probably best - it'll be something to cheer me up when it arrives.

    Happy New Year, everyone.

I don't want anyone worrying about deadlines. This is a fun swap with no stress. Mail when you can and best wishes for the new year!

You are NOT helping me! LOL
And, now it is snowing for the last four hours ... I haven't even had time to check out the forecast to see how long ... but, I have only wanted to be snowed in since I ever first heard about it .. wouldn't it be AWFUL if THIS is the year that it happens???
Darned global warming, anyway .... but, since it is winter, I suppose the climate changing from ninety degree desert dry to 28 degree snowfall (high desert event - - ) climate change from summer to fall to winter to spring IS a normal concurrence! LOL

It is a testament to our love of life and living that we are not always ready to say goodbye when a loved one passes on to glory.
It is a privilege to participate in a memorial service celebrating a life that made a difference in so many ways. A peaceful passing must seem like an added blessing to a wonderful life.

Peaceandjoy: May God grant you all peace and comfort. A famous author once said that no one really dies as long as there is someone left behind to remember him. May your Mom live a long life in your hearts.

No wonder you were so confident in your statement. I was wondering when I read it. Well, wonder no more. I got the most adorable quilt in the mail today. It is the Madhouse in all its festive finery. I LOVE IT. .....and the licorice is my all time favorite. I'll be in hog heaven. Will post pictures in the daylight.

I'm glad you got it and like it. I had to finish it here at Lauren's since I didn't get it done at home. I wanted to put a few more snowflakes on it, but was running out of time and Lauren said it looked fine the way it was.
I was getting a bit worried since I had sent about 5 packages out and all had been received and yours hadn't.
I was reading another thread you posted and noticed that you liked black licorice. Just had to get some for you.
