MILate-- both of your quilts are fantastic, I love the festiveness of your snowball quilt. And the turkey is so adorable. Great job, lucky ladies.

Two great doll quilts you did a excellent job M.I.late. Someday I want to try and do a snowglobe wall hanging. And your turkey is so so cute too.

Jetnica was my secret DQ-sender, and just look at what she made! I love the pattern and have been too chicken to try it. The colors are so soft and "warm" -- the little quilt itself is puffy and cozy. I wish I could blow it up to queen size to fit my bed! Thank you so much.
And she also made me a set of coasters, being used as I type. I love them.

Did you add the turkey to the print? I thought maybe you used fabric paints. What a cute idea.
:-D[/quote]
That print is a quilters quote, (like a letter to a fellow quilter). I got the turkey from an image search on the computer. I assembled him piece by piece then embroidered it all down. No fabric paints. However, I did cheat a bit on his head feathers. The embroidery was done using all cream colored thread, then I colored over the threads with gel pens. (So I wouldn't have to change thread every inch or so.) Then I sealed the gel with a hot iron. I've used gel pens in the past and so far, they have held up (10+ yrs) without any trouble.

Thanks for telling me how you did that. I wish I could see it in person. You are very talented and creative.

I must be the luckiest person in this swap. I checked my mail and "Surprise" for me. My daughter helped me open the package and we were both so happy, my DQ is just Beautiful. And it is on my wall already. Thank you fancifrock. In my package there was also a beautiful card, pendant and my first mug rug. I'm still trying to do one. Lord Bless You and Merry Christmas.

so I finally finished my DQ for my partner. It will be in the mail tomorrow but I wanted to show a peek. I did do the red, black and white and decided not to use the purple (sorry). So if you have not recieved a DQ, this could be yours, plus one or two surprises.
