Take care Jaba, make the surgery a success.

Hope everyone is fairing well through this storm. I am looking at 27" so far. It has been snowing since 9pm last night and there is no sign of it letting up yet. My only concern right now is if the electric goes out. I am prepared but would really rather not go through another black out.

I spent the day working on another new project for a girl I work with. Her DD has played field hockey since forever ago and will be starting college next fall. Her team has collected a cotton head band for every game they have played. I am turning them into a quilt of course and here it is so far. Her school colors are navy and white and her favorite color is burgundy. Perfect!

I am having fun with this one!

And I can't let the storm go by with out a picture of my view.

Stay safe everyone. I will be glad when this one is over.
    peace

The spiderweb is being made with paper piecing as a foundation tear paper off and sew blocks together. There are easier methods but this really is the easiest for me. Not a lot of planning needed. Just copy the foundation and start sewing.

She'll love that ube, very nice of you to make it for her. Those spiderweb quilts are nice to make and use up scraps. I made a couple of them when they first came out as a Missouri Star tutorial.
Actually I'm kind of looking forward to this surgery....anything to make this hand better. It if fixes the spasms and the ache it will be so nice. Just want it to heal fast

Feel better jaba! Ube I made a spiderweb top to cover a beat up comforter. I tied it and my kids used it to death. Its a great pattern. Btw my wallhanging is done and ready to ship.

Ube, you can send some of that snow to MN. DH is whining because we really don't have much and he bought a snowmobile this year. Also, that is a beautiful quilt. Have never tried the spiderweb pattern. May just have to keep that one in mind.

Jaba, good luck with the surgery.

I would love to send the snow to you!

I have made several Spiderweb quilts and they are a simple and fun way to use up scraps and can make a stunning quilt.
    Stay safe everyone.

    Smile Done!

Here is my finnished wall hanging. I had a lot of fun with this one.

I also already have some ideas for the next swap.

So anyone thinks this one belongs at their house?

I really like the way the colors came together.

The recipient could add something like their last name or a date on the area right under the house if they so desire.

Can't wait to see the other wall hangings. Please post pictures swappers.

Annaquilts, that is a very charming WH. I do agree with you that the colors came together very nicely. I would be honored to have this in my home.
