Hmmmm......are we supposed to put a hanger on our wall hanging? While going through the archives I noticed that some of the ladies put the item on a table....but will be glad to put on a hanger if that is what should be done....

I cannot believe how fast time has flown! Nor can I believe I forgot to sign up! (Ube - I noticed you too forgot to sign up LOL ... we are getting on in age hahahaha!)

To the newbies for this swap - please please please don't feel like your work is not up to par. Some of us have been quilting for years, decades, even - we all started at the beginning. I've been quilting for almost 15 years, and just recently (last year) conquered free motion quilting. My first attempts were hilarious - seriously - they became cat blankets for a friend of mine.

I will be joining this swap!

Well...I'm not a pro by any means...but I do love quilting! I finally decided on which hanging to swap, so here it is. Lots of things wrong with it if the quilt police get their hands on it, but hopefully there are no quilt police around. The idea came from Pinterest, but I couldn't trace it back far enough to be able to give credit to anyone...only the person who pinned it. The original had scissors and a thimble, but I liked a needle and thread better. Hope whoever gets it likes it!

I have three options this time around ...

This one has some FMQ done in the background

    This one is almost done!

And this one has TONS of quilting in it ... I used Judi Marsden's gridwork book!

    Default Sewing machine

Here is the start of mine.....the original was so small I had my husband enlarge the pieces. They are supposed to be felted wool but I don't have any and after Christmas can't justify buying any...needs to come from my,stash so cotton it is. Once I stitch I will have to figure out the borders. Not sure how this will come out yet. There may have to be a backup

Hopefully two more of these joined together will be my wall hanging representing the Australian summer bush. We have a bright orange flowered native tree that blooms around Christmas and is known as a Christmas tree . The pattern I am using is to represent a bush fire but with all the bad fire over your way I didn't want to do that yet I wanted to try the design so I came up with this idea . I hope who receives it will be happy with it

Skaduzy...I LOVE your sewing machine!...and R-sea...I think your block is great! I love the twisted log cabin! I started one once...not sure where it is at the moment, and am not sure it will ever get finished, but I like it.....
