I haven't even started mine yet. Some people don't post pictures until they are done or not at all for the surprise. I usually post as I go so that will start soon. I have a pattern in mind so just have to get started.

So far everyone's work is adorable.

I simply put triangular corners on the top of mine that a dowel rod can be slipped into to hang...sometimes I put a strip all the way across the top of the hanging (stitched in with the binding and then stitched onto the backing by hand). There may be other ways, but those are the two that I use.....

I pulled fabrics and cut some but might still change. I did start sewing but I am rethinking if I want to do this for this swap or something else. I had major surgery in Dec. so it has been slow go. Normally I post something but not yet this time around. It is a pain in the * for me to post pictures also. I am with you and would love to see more pictures. There is still some time so some people might not have started.

I usually put a sleeve on the back. It all depends on the size of the WHing. With smaller ones I sew a dowel right to the quilt, a few stitches with embroidery floss is enough to hang them. The corner triangles are good for smaller WHings too but larger ones will start to bow or sag in the center without support all the way across the WHing. You have to decide what works for every project.

Here is how I do small projects. The cut out in the sleeve allows you to hang the project with one pin stuck in the wall. You don't need to use two hangers and a level when you do this. Just put the dowel through the sleeve, put a pin in the wall and hang the dowel on it.

    Adding hanging sleeve to quilt

I use this method for quilts up to 2' across.

How many people like bright, bold, saturated colors similar to Kaffe Fassetts (sp)? I think I'm going in that direction this time. Wish me luck.
