Teresa that's what I'm saying. I think some are resizing once or twice and then giving up. I had to resize 3 times before it was small enough.I don't know anything about pixels and whatever's.I just know how I did mine, and it worked. It's so nice when you can finally post a picture. It's like you conquored the world.lol.I love it for this thread because you can show what someone made and sent. All their work is shown in beautiful color.Mary

If it still won't work make it even smaller till you can download it.I hope this helps someone. As far as the daily newsletter,to me it's a waste. If you click on "What's new?" at the top of every page you will see all the new stuff.Like what's for sale, links to visit, recipes etc. Good luck to everyone.I'm sorry your husband is out of work. I hate to hear that, and I hear it more all the time.Have a great day everybody. Mary
First thank you Mary for pointing out the What's new? link. I had forgotten about it all together. I also have been learning my way around the new board. I too have been frustrated. I used to use the link in the daily digest every day. Now it is worthless as it always seems to have the same things each day. I try going to each category but have a hard time finding the new posts. I don't want to see a post from 2 years ago that some one recently commented on. I try to get to the older posts here and there. But I want to stay current on the new ones. I am not giving up on the board. I don't mean to offend the people who have worked so hard on this transition, but it was poorly thought out. Before the change over at the very least there should have been tutorials and tips ready to go on day one. Now Patrice is having to scramble to accommodate everyone's needs, answering the same questions over and over, dealing with some the more nasty unnecessary and unproductive comments. I'm all for new and better, but I also would expect that new and better comes with an instruction manual, not having to contact someone every 2 seconds for help. If I have instructions I can read and figure it out myself. Just my 2 cents worth.

On a more happier note I started the low dose morphine last night and it seemed to help make the pain more bearable for several hours. I take it 2x's a day. It doesn't last the whole 12 hours, but it is an improvement of less than an hour of relief.

Yikes - this isn't a good sign but with the changes in the board format I wonder if that had an impact on people getting back on and finding who they had for a SP.....they could have sent you an e-mail for the info though Lori. Please don't get too discouraged....I'll say it for you GRRRR.

I'm looking forward to it sometime near the end of this week.

To my SP recipient, your package was just mailed out today! I apologize for the delay and hope that you enjoy things.
I can't seem to get updates in mail for this board. And yeah, I have the subscription set up right. Since I don't know if I can wade through pages and pages again, I'll just let you know Jenna that I'm your SP. I hope you get to open it soon and like the goodies!! Thanks for leaving this message.

reesk, I had to unsubscribe and then turn around again and re subscribe and that helped. I'm just saying.....that's what worked for me.

Default My Nov box arrived today!

I got a wonderful box today from Havplenty. Wow - that's says it all. The box was heavy and it was packed full of goodies. Mary sent two books and a collection of recipes, a really cute thread catcher (I've not seen one like it before but it sure looks like something that would sell at our guild's craft table!), a pattern for bags, licorice, two lint rollers (with Rusty's - those are always handy), a cute turkey pink cushion, buttons and bobbin binders, fabric, a pretty decorated pill box in a drawstring bag, chopsticks and a reusable shopping bag filled with a 2 year planner, thank you notecards, tea, postcards and felt squares. All in all, it was a fun time unpacking and looking through the great gifts!
Thank you so much, Mary - you made my day!

This is my first time posting a picture under the new website so hope it attaches to the email!

Just wanted everyone to know that I really enjoy doing the SP swaps but I will no longer participate. I am leaving this board. Whoever owns it has really messed it up and I don't have the time or energy to sit here hour after hour and try to find what I want. Again thank you everyone who made my day with being my SP. I will check in once in awhile just to see if they got it fixed, plus I am in another swap that doesn't end till next year.

to post pictures you will most certainly have to reduce the pixels (size of photo) to around 300+ x 400 to 400+ x 600+ pixels (resolutions). the cameras we use take photos in high resolutions (3000 x 4000 pixels for great color & clarity) so you can see there is a need to reduce the size of the photo (in resolutions). the new board format limits the size of files you can upload (probably due to server available online space). there are so many free photo editing software packages available online such as picasa.

i have windows 7 and contained in this software is a program called microsoft word picture manager which edits photos. once my photo us uploaded to my computer my windows photo viewer opens it and i can then chose microsoft word picture manager to do my editing.

i would say if you are having continous problems uploading photos it could be due to the size of your file. you can right click on your photo file and look at the size of it (MB) and then look at the limit of the size file type (i.e. jpeg, gif) the board will allow you upload. if there is a significant difference in those two sizes you will probably not be able to upload the photo file. hang in there as you will hopefully be able to figure it out through practice (aka trial & error).
