Ninnie I am so glad you like it. I agonized over the color for the borders. I had originally designed it with dark brown but that is not a popular color so when you said you liked blue I switched to blue. I had forgotten about your hatchet quilt. I'm glad that is a pattern you like! The center is a pattern I make for hotpads that sell alot so I figured it is popular. I loved designing a pieced border. I have never done that before and always wanted to. I am glad it came out alright.

Thank you everyone for all your compliments. It is really just stuff I have done many times in hotpads just not in this size. I usually only work in 6 1/2" quilt block size with the 1 1/2" Templates or the 1 1/4" so it was fun to have more room to work on more detail. I really enjoyed making this one.

Rhonda, I have to laugh! Your block was 6.5 inches pieced from 1.5 inch pieces, and mine was 6.5 inch blocks, one piece! LOL

Gai the one thing I do regret about working with such small pieces is you lose the look of the fabric alot. With your 6 1/2" squares you get the full effect of the fabric! So both has it appeal! Lovely fabric! I am so restricted to small print so it is fun to see all the fabrics you use! I have been playing with some slightly larger prints I have used in borders.

Yeeaah I got my quilt from Ninnie today! Since she got mine yesterday I was hoping it would come today! It is gorgeous! I have only seen whole cloth quilts in pictures so to get a small one is just so fabulous!! The stitching is so perfect! I love it can you tell? And the "extras" are terrific. The charm is a tiny antique sewing machine! So cute! I really appreciate the quilt labels Ninnie! I have been looking for some.thank you so much Ninnie! You put so much work in to this one! I have never been able to do this type of sewing.

Oh lovely quilts ladies! I am sooo excited about them all! Does it make me greedy to say I'd love to have them all? I'm still pacing by the mailbox for mine
