Chele.....I'm shyly raising my hand to sign up for my first doll quilt swap. I've never done a small quilt like this before...but I'm wondering about the sizes of them...I saw your requirement on the rules, but its hard to tell on the older threads what size most of them are ending up being.....can ya'll give me some direction on that?

Yay, sandpat! So happy you joined us! My doll quilts really vary in size. That's kind of the fun of it, no pattern or real planning! The requirements are more like guidelines, so feel free to create a quilt any size (or shape!) you want.

OK Chele...then I'm good to go...I forgot to tell you that I can ship to our International friends too.

So...are you supposed to discuss what your partner wants before you start...I notice that everyone seems to start their quilt even before you assign them...Is that ESP???

Sandpat- not ESP just so excited to make the next one can't wait!! I finally figured out after the second one that most who sign up are already done or almost done. once we get paired up I still pm asking likes and dislikes, colors, etc. but you can get started if you want. my first two swaps I took right up to the deadline to finish  and not to mention all the little quilts are so wonderful there isn't one that I wouldn't have loved to recieve!! hope that helps

Sandpat - so happy you are jumping in. I think everyone will like whatever. I know I have styles, designs that I like to make, but if someone is making me a quilt, I want their style, colors and likes, not mine. I want a "pieces of their heart" so I feel like whatever they make, I will love. And so far I have three quilts, each one is different, but one is not more beautiful or special than the other!! I hope that helps you decide a little what you are doing!

Sandpat it doesn't matter to me what anyone makes. No matter what the skill level they are a part of the quilter and that is what makes them so special. I love to see other people's point of view of quilting. Every quilt has it's own charm and I learn something from each one! I am so looking forward to collecting several more!!

Well said, Esqmommy. I think most of the recipients would rather the quilt maker create something from their heart versus giving design suggestions. Terri and Kathryn, I can't believe you recognized my style. That quilt was pastels! I was trying not to be so bold for once! I'm going to go get me some Civil War repros...

    WOOHOO!!! YIPPEE!!
    We got Patti! YAHOO!!! lol

Chele, I don't think you could do subdued colors like Civil War fabrics. You are just a "bold color" person! :) :) :)

Woohoo! Big turnout for this one, too. Can't wait to see what we all come up with.
