I received my doll quilt from Sunkistmi today and some surprises, as well, which she will be posting shortly for everyone to see.
The quilt is beautiful and is made with Civil War fabrics, perfectly pieced and machine quilted. I love it, love it, love it. It is an outstanding quilt.
And then, Sunkistmi also made me a folded star potholder/trivet. I will put it on display for it is too beautiful to use under a hot pan/dish. Made, of course, using blue fabrics.
And last, but not least, a very special gift, a hand painted trinket box made in the Ukraine which she bought when she visited that country. I had mentioned to her that I was Ukranian and she gave me this very special box, with a hand painted rose (my middle name) and blue forget-me-nots. It brought tears to my eyes when I saw it.
I certainly will never forget Sunkistmi for she certainly made the doll quilt and pot holder/trivet with lots of love and shared a special gift from Ukraine with me.
Thank you Sunkistmi. You are so kind and thoughtful.

Now that Blue Bell has her quilt, I know it's about time, I'm so embarrassed, I would like to post the pictures. Can someone tell me how to do it please? Make it really detailed as I am computer challenged. DH is home so he can help too. Thank you for the help.

These are pictures of the doll quilt I sent to Blue Bell. I called it Civil War Memory and it was from a pattern by Carol Hopkins called Sweet William from the Civil War Legacies line. I added the red border around the blocks that were not in the original pattern. Finished block size was 4".

This is a picture of the label and the little folded star trivet that I sent for being so patient in waiting for her quilt.

Beautiful and worth the wait I'm sure.
"All good things come to those who wait." Yes, it is lovely.

Here is a picture of the beautiful doll quilt that Blue Bell sent me. She said it was paper pieced and she had not done much machine quilting but it was wonderfully done. The colors are perfect for my home and she included some fabric for a sleeve in case I wanted to hang it. She also included a potholder that had an oldfashioned Santa holding a kitty in his arms. It was so thoughtful of her to remember me and my kitties. Both are just perfect. Thank you so much Eleanor.
