I didn't design the turkey. Kudos go to Julie at www.patchabilities.com for that. Really like her quick to do seasonal hangings.

Great job,i love it.Is it a pattern or did you come up with that yourself?
This is actually my first "original" . I'm very much a pattern person with little imagination. My sewing room was a disaster from previous doll quilts and I was having trouble coming up with an idea for Oct. Then I remembered an old Navy saying..."Shape up or Ship out". And the light bulb lit up  . Gladie, I'm glad it was an inspiration for you, it gave me a little incentive too, at least until the next project. Thanks again for being a great swap partner.

I don't mean to make anyone jealous  but I was floored at what my mail lady brought me today!

The box was about 1' square. What in the world could be in a box that big? Then I saw who it was from, and just knew it was gonna be something extra special! :-D

Look at this little quilt MsShawn made! It's two quilts in one! One side has dogs on it, and the other side has kitties! She put all kinds of fun embellishments on it, including some super-soft faux fur and minky (I think?), buttons, and patches. Lots of fancy stitches, too! It's so touchable! I can't stop petting it!

But that's not all! Lookie what else she sent!

A fuzzy pink star pillow that's has such a cool texture to it (and it's my favorite color!)! A sweet card! An awesome pair of earrings! And several fun pieces of fabric! :-D

Did I hit the jackpot, or what??

Thanks, MsShawn! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the quilt and all the other treasures!

To all my partners for October- Miss Grace, Vbourck and M.I.Late -

Thank you for all of your hard work. I am simply astounded by your creativeness. Your quilts will go on the wall of fame with the others I have received since I joined this swap last January.

I do apologize for not getting pictures and comments to you. My daughter's house burned and I am taking care of the grand children ages 9 months to three. Everyone is ok - just no house. It is amazing how much you forget about the blessing of so many things until you don't have them anymore.

We are putting things back together one minute at a time and one piece at a time. It has been hard for her to get a new place . Things are looking up ans she may be in the new apartment Wednesday.

If you want to post pictures, it is ok by me.

    Back to you asap- sapdoggie

Your daughter and her family are in my prayers. Good to hear that only materials were lost.

    Take care.
