    Just found a series of patterns for mini quilts on All People Quilt

    As for labels, there are tons of designs you can print onto fabric with your ink jet printer, then just write on it and personalize. You can stitch it on by hand or be lazy and use an iron on fixative or glue. After making the mistake of trying to stitch around one by machine after the quilting was done, I'd recommend putting it on the backing FIRST.

    wish i'd thought of that before i put the caterpiller on rosebagwell's quilt! i like to say it's a moonlit shadow on the front, (oops)

    It is a lovely moonlit shadow, I think! But, you live and you learn.
    Sometimes larger tags get "special placement" from me -- special because they cover up a bunchy bit in the quilting! Like this one:

    No, he's actually doing quite well, thank God!
    But the patch for the prayers was placed to cover a big old bunchy spot on the back! :thumbup:

    quilters tricks! should be a book of them! no, maybe not. without one people are amazed at what we do. a little amazement is good for the soul! very glad to hear about roberto. who says prayer doesn't work??!!
