isn't a stuffed animal kinda like a pincushion???
when i'm looking for a pincushion pattern, I look at stuffed animals and such.
then I just make them a bit smaller. I'm sitting here looking at an elephant I
made about 10" high. I think if he was 6" he'd be a perfect pc. or maybe
old rosebud would love him the size he is. he's a cutie

Haha maybe I will keep that as a thought. It's bigger than a pincushion, actually both I made are not to scale lol. They are super pin cushions! You will never lose it lol. It's 8w by 5h.

sounds like a great pc. send it my way, i'll be waiting on it. I'll be out on my deck in the front waving down the postwoman when she comes around. aren't they addictive to make/?? a little work, a great pc of art, and you get to use that one little pc of the scrap you couldn't bear to throw away.

I just waved down my mail lady and I open a really very pretty PC from ljdugas31. very similar to that lovely peacock! it has claimed a spot on the windowsill for today. I may have to collect one or two just to look at and pet . . . Thank you Linda, it really is pretty. I can't post pics sorry

I love to reduce stuffed animal patterns to make pincushions. It's easy to do, but you probably should use a pattern with a limited number of pieces. For example, I don't think I'll try the bear pattern I was looking at last night. It has more than 50 pieces. Wouldn't that be fun in a 5 inch pincushion? LOL

I think I just need more practice and experience. i have only been at this for less than a year so I guess I can't beat my perfectionist butt up too bad lol. I made a second pincushion for each of my partners so at least my overgrown pincushions will have a secondary pincushion to show my effort! I think you ladies will like them both and find a purpose! They are cute albeit big. I'll have them out by Saturday latest, so you can post pics soon

Boo hoo, poor me ... poor baby! My sewing machine is sick, needs the doctor. Was getting ready to sew yesterday and nothing. Ah well ... stuff happens on a daily basis sometimes.

And with that sad tale, I want to let you know I am going on vacation on Saturday and returning on the 19th. I know all will go well here, and you will get along just fine without me. I am going where I will be unable to log in and check in with you guys. I had the vacation planned before volunteering to do this swap but know all is done and in your very capable hands! To my partners, both of your swaps will go out today. Hope you like them.
