ok scratch my tentative plan from a few weeks ago, because guess what? I found a really cute fat quarter bundle that fit the bill! So my work in progress is this table runner that includes flora & fauna! These are commonly seen in many regions of Ontario Canada, particularly at our cottage! Included is the heron (who can be found fishing from our dock very early in the morning!) the beaver (who gets quite annoyed with my 2 dogs if they are at the shore!) the dragonfly (which my grandkids are just enthralled with!) and of course flowers galore. Just in the process of quilting the runner then it will be ready for binding. My apologies for the sideways look - it won't let me turn it!

wow Sue that covers everything! I'd love to see Canada. My nana emigrated to Australia but the rest of her family to Canada...leaving Scotland in 1's and 2's over a few years.

We all seem to have the same problem with our runners coming up sideways. Lovely runner beautiful colours m-fay. Northern sue and I have gone the same way. the fabrics are to nice to cut up and wouldn't make a nice patchwork runner. I was in Canada a few years ago and a mother bear was trying to get her two cubs down a tree and boy was she fuming . Naughty children

R-sea, a few years ago a mama bear & her 2 cubs were up in an evergreen beside our neighbour’s home! Mama came down the tree, one cub finally followed & the other little stayed up in the tree for ages, bawling! Lol Like a kid in a store! Little devil finally came down the tree & mama cuffed him on the head! It was hilarious!

Northern Sue, the fabric is just wow.... I can see why you were taken with it. Your tablerunner is sure to be a stunner.
M-Fay, the cats are so cool. Love the angle of your block borders around cats. What a neat effect.
