Thought I would mention Connecting Threads "essential" thread is $1 a spool. I think they said that's 65 % off. It runs about $3 a spool. Not all colors but there are a lot of colors on sale.

I'm checking out what "winter" is in some of the areas I've swapped runners in. So, in Australia, this swap will span summer & fall? Do I have that right? I have to make sure Google isn't messing with me! lol I'm leaning towards a two season runner, that is reversible as the season changes? However, it might be really tough to find summer fabric in my winter!

Hummm .... Sue maybe you can make a holiday on one side and a winter on the other. I never thought to do the 2 different seasons. happy thanks giving to all even if you don't celebrate this holiday.

Northern Sue, I think our winters would be similar to your summers, at least in my part of Australia! I've never seen snow!

m-fay - my sister teaches school in S Texas and last year they had some snow flurries one afternoon when the temperature dropped suddenly. She said she lost the class for the rest of the day. Most of the students had never seen snow before and they were so excited. We grew up in W Texas and it snows every other year or so but it is a real rarity in S Texas.

I can't imagine living where there is snow for 4 or 5 mos every year. I think I will take our hot and humid summers in SE TN over continuous snow and cold!

Our winter has started out late & strange. We do have snow, but we have had rain/freezing rain for a few days so lots has melted. Not to fear! It won't be a green Christmas here! lol Now, if I had good knees & hips I could skate all over the farm! Instead, my old ski poles are helping to keep me upright! Tomorrow, I have to stay in & work on my runner - still can't decide what I'm going to make! yikes! lol

I'm not even getting silence! I've been searching for runner ideas and 12.5" block ideas for a round robin - do you know how many blocks/runners/cool ideas are out there???? lol My inner voice is saying "ooooo I like that one!" "now that's a unique one", and "pick me, pick me"! lol Holy smokes! I better decide soon!
