Good morning all. Wonderful packages coming in and the hints aren't for me...I think? Anyway at work and just found out yesterday that my new machine may be in next Monday the 15th. I hope so. My son is flying in from Korea next Thursday after a one yr. tour and I"ll be so happy to see him and spend time with him as well. I mailed my SP her package Tuesday morning and I hope it gets there on Friday...she's going on a trip.

Krystyna - There are so many arteries on Long Island. Here are the first three I thought of - LIE, CIP, and Hwy 27A. (decided not to name the last one in words). I'm pretty certain that your SP partner's street name is not Long Island Expressway or Cross Island Parkway. This is a stumper and I won't sleep tonight..!!!

OHHHOHHH OOHHHH I got a squishie in the mail yesterday!!! It was from Grandma Peg. In it I got a wonderful Sunflower pin she made from a fall colored yoyo. Great idea for the pin wheels! Also included were handmade crocheted rags. My grandmother makes these as well. In fact I went to see her today and she was making another one then.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE fall so there was a large piece of beautiful fall material! In fact I got an applique book for table runners in the mail today and this material will go perfectly for the fall runner. Also included was a "friction pen', I have not seen one of those before and am not sure how to use it. Any ideas?
This was my first package and it was a great one, (first of 3 for this swap I meant, I've done this swap for a year now & enjoy each one) LOL

Okay Ladies.... I have a dilemma and I am not sure how I feel about it. Here is the deal....
As you all know I have Meadow (who is a guide dog) and I want to bring him to the family Christmas this year and it is being held at dh's Aunt's home (she lives in a million dollar home and it looks that way as well) and I got an email today from Aunt's dh saying that we need to talk about the dog coming to their house for the family Christmas. We are planning on going to Chicago for a day as well during the vacation. We most likely be driving back and forth each day(not sure yet) So do I stand my ground and put my foot down and say that he is coming to bad deal with it. Or do I just say okay if he cannot come and not go to the family Christmas, and let dh go alone? What do you all of you think?

The hooded cowl is finished (it made up much faster than I expected) and will be sent on time to _____________. My SP this month is not one that I have had before.
The photos are on a styrofoam mannequin so you can get an idea of what it is supposed to look like - front and side view. Sorry for the different colors and the humongous size of the photos. I just cannot tame my camera and I always have to crop to get the size down. It does much better with outside photos. The color is inbetween the colors shown.
I have plans to complete my mini-quilt tonight so I can send my photos in for the contest. I can't show you yet, but I hope you will take a look on Oct 14-20th and vote for the one you like best. Hope there are a lot of people entering!!!
Oh, and thanks for the all your kind comments about my greys. My DGM and my DM had and have pure white hair - can't wait for that to happen. Guess I'm well on my way!! lol.

Krystyna- you sure are tricky- but I think you are sending your package to me again. I love angels,panels and chocolate so I'm almost positive it is coming my way and I can't post pictures,if not you can send me a duplicate and i will be very happy.
