I like to sit and try new patterns from the internet. I make generic type items. Pin cushions can be any color or multi colored. Little bags for your purse, tissue covers, kitchen items. Then they go in a large tote bag for my secret pals. Then I can just pick out something. Sometimes my pal will like purple so I go see what I have in purple or dogs or cats. Those seem to be popular with most. I love sewing notions themed fabric then I can make something for the sewing room.It saves lots of time and I love making the quick little projects. Then all I have to do is get candy or maybe something personal. This way you are ready for most of your pals package.Mary

I would never be disappointed that it did not have my "thing" on it.

A thread and scrap catcher would be nice, too. My floor is usually covered with thread and lace scraps, although I've started tossing them into a take out dish and when that is over-flowing I have a gallon baggie on a tiny nail and that gets crammed full. My work space is usually too full to have room for anything else.
One thing I LOVE having around is a little scrub brush. I picked one up on sale at ACE Hardware for $1. I give the rug a little rub down so I'm not perpetually jamming the vacuum cleaner with thread wrapped around the brush roller. I think something like that would be a welcome addition to any sewing room!

FYI... It looks like the point turner is the must have gift this month and I was lucky to get one of them.
And speaking of crazy chicks I just wanted to say hi to some of them: Candi, Krystyna Thomp, Toomanyufos, and does anyone know where sik has been hiding? I haven't seen her around?
