Thanks, Mary. I think the border will be going away, though. I always liked it, but now I think I am going to do something totally different in my dining room.
What ya gonna do? My kitchen I painted it a very pale peach.Above my cupboards is a soffet. It;s about 10" tall and goes around 2 short walls of cupboards. So on it I am going to paint some baby chicks and mama hens setting. Then glue some hay here and there and cover the whole thing with chicken wire framed in old wood boards to look like a big chicken coop.My kitchen is decorated with chickens and some farm animals.Hope it turns out well.So now tell me what your going to do.OK? Mary
Sounds really cool, Mary. Make sure you post some pictures when you get it done.

I'm glad so many like the idea.I had a farm scene painted up there until I painted the kitchen last spring.I had a 1936 old ford truck setting in some tall old weeds and a old tire leaning on a outhouse that had the door hanging almost off of it.There was a old red tractor parked out in a field.you get the idea.I really liked it. When I told friends and family what I was going to paint most said"It's going to make it look like junkie old stuff. Well when it was done they all wanted their homes painted.I just like the old farm house country look.My house is over 120 yrs old. If I put this new modern stuff in it it would look stupid.lol Mary

    Krystyna,

Thanks for reminding me of my many blessings today and every day... instead of always complaining about the minor things...

Yes they do.Each room in my house has something unique in it. I have a bay window big enough for my sewing table (6ft) to sit in. My kitchen has a antique ironing board that drops down from a cupboard that is set in between 2 studs. My living room has a vaulted ceiling and a 5 ft tall x14" wide shelve that also is set in between 2 studs.so it is flat with the wall. These were things my husband and I did to the house when we moved it to our farm in three pieces and put it back together.Lots of work.lol Mary
