(Pattis ornament. Find the middle of the circle by folding in half, finger press and fold in half again. Press and open out. Mark center with a pencil. With wrong side up, fold bottom edge of fabric to center point. Press well with iron. Working clockwise, take left point, fold to center. Finger press. Continue folding points until 6 fold are made. Circle should look like a hex. Repeat for second circle. Make a little hanger loop and attach to top corner of large hex. Place a drop of glue in center of large hex, place small one on top. Little glue in center of small hex for button, other decoration. Note: I only made a couple of them, but I think if I make more I might try a little piece of batting in them, the big one anyway, then I could decorate them with thread. You can also fussy cut your fabric so that a design shows on the back.

Hi Shamrock, Thank you so much for the tute. After seeing the photos Patti posted I found the set of hex templates I have. I cut paper hexes and was trying to measure how much to fold and I'm so happy you explained how to do it. Much easier your way. No rulers. Just a pencil and glue. How easy!! Now I have another item on my list of things to do. This one is going to the top of the list.  :P Anne

So are you using a circle? or a hexagon? I'm reading both & getting confused?! (which ain't hard, believe me!)

I am going to follow Shamrocks tute and use the circles not the Hex template. I was only trying to figure the pattern out on my own before Shamrock came to the rescue. I was just so excited to try it out. Anne

Can't wait to get mine! I love hearing about what everybody is getting. Gives so many ideas for the next swap, etc.

Bonni I know what you mean! - I see some swaps & think 'what a great idea! I just might use that next time!' Hoping mine comes today --- the weather is awful & I'm feeling close to the same (ulcer acting up  ) getting a squishie would be a great pick-me-up!

Yep, I used to think "why did they put seam rippers in? How many seam rippers does a person need?" Then last night I realized that my seam ripper is getting dull. Guess I answered my own question. LOL. Seam rippers now go on list of possible things to put in packages.
