Thank you, I will try that. Sometimes I feel like I'm asleep at the computer ...better than being asleep at the wheel, I guess!

can I ask a newbie question? I never had to worry about size of block before so never noticed. When it says to make a 6 inch block, is that with the quarter inch seam so it is actually 61/2" and then when used on a quilt it is the said 6"?
I am a little tired tonite and am going back and forth on the answer.
    anyone?

Yes Pattia...the blocks are to measure 6 1/2" square. When you stitch them together, they will finish at 6", which allows for the 1/4" seam allowance. Good question!

thanks Ronda, I have lots of patterns I have found that say 6 inches, but didn't know if I could use them for sure. Still have the others that are marked for 6 1/2" squares. So no consistancy had me wondering.

Thank you for asking Pattia. I had to recheck my completed blocks and they measure 7" including the 1/4" seams so completed would be 6 1/2" so I guess I won't be sending the ones I made after all Will see what I can complete before the deadline.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am not too fussy about the size as I don't have a project in mind final yet. I am sure that some can work around the smaller or bigger sizes, but that is not what is expected but maybe someone else can answer.

OK, I will throw in my 2 cents LOL. My first thought was 6 1/2 is expected, BUT with a little thought I have an idea I can work with if they are smaller or larger, so I don't mind if the size if off. I could piece them as a square in a square and ta da they will all end up the same size. Sashing is another option to make them all the same size. JMHO, hope it is Ok to jump in with my thoughts.
