Painted and Printed Block Swap for FUN closing on September 30th or the first 15 Swappers

The swap is open to all levels of quilters. Please use 100 cotton fabrics that are prewashed, and that you know will not fade or fray, and that will otherwise survive many trips through the washing machine.

Please send me a pm to sign up for the swap. I can miss it on the board swap thread pretty easily, so this is best.

This swap is for anyone that wants to try something new and different for quilt blocks. Please leave embellishment on the side for easier quilting. And remember please send in something that you would like to receive yourself.

Please make your blocks before you sign up for this swap. The swap will close on September 30th 2011 or 15 members whichever comes first. Blocks must be mailed out by October 5th 2011 and will be sorted and shipped out by October 20th 2011

It can be 6.5 x 6.5 or 12.5 x 12.5 unfinished sizes, 2 sets of 6, maximum. For the same reasons listed below . When you have completed a set of blocks, place EACH individual set into a plastic baggie with your name and board name attached to each block with a pin or post it.

I want to keep it small because
    1. My first time to host a swap
    2. It’s using mediums that a lot of us are new too
    3. This type of swap hasn’t been done b4?

They can be printed (please make sure if you buy the “printable” fabric, that you get the kind that can be laundered) They make one that prints it out glittery!!!!

They can be painted in any way with anything as long as it is fabric safe(fabric paint, shiva paint sticks etc…), machine washable and permanent.

Please follow the instructions for your medium of choice, to set the colors before you swap.

There will be no theme, just background colors to make the blocks cohesive, the background colors will be black &/or white.

Mail your block sets to me in a flat rate envelope and have a self addressed flat rate return envelope with the postage attached (they do have stamps for the 4.95 flat rate price) inside with your bagged blocks. With the flat rate envelope I won't have any problems returning them to you.

Please read all the general swap rules of the board, these also apply to this swap. They are located on the top of the swap board written by the administration. Or, here is the link ...http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.html

Please, NO public complaints or criticisms of other swappers, items received, please address any of these to me by Private Message (pm). I will do everything I can to make it right, Remember this swap is to try something NEW

Not quite sure which size we are supposed to make. 6 1/2 inch square or 12 1/2 inch square? Whichever is decided I need to make 12 correct? I'd like to sign up. I've got some great ideas. They can all be different, right? It would get boring if all my squares looked alike.

They can be either size, just 6 of one size makes a set, so if you r doing 12 you could do 6 at the 6.5 and 6 at the 12.5 or all one size. I know that the printable fabric, if you buy it, can be expensive that's is the main reason why I am giving the option of the 6.5 block. you can google printable fabric and they have websites that tell you how to make your own, Absolutely they can all be different, this is for fun. lol we should end up with some very different blankets lol.

this one isn't painted or printed (trapunto quilting) but it is different and you don't see it much and it looks very cool.
