som-- your blocks are 12.5" (unfinished) when you send them to me.
These blocks will finish up at 12".

Mariposa - I guess I need to get with you on where I need to send these blocks I don't mind telling you guys that I definately had my "challenges" with the half square triangles . . . some just didn't make the size (but I'm using them in other blocks - I couldn't let those stinkers get the better of me!!

Thanks for looking . . . I really did enjoy conquering the hst (I think?).

KLTQuilts, I like them all. There's not a dud in the bunch. I'm so glad to hear someone else say they are having sizing issues. My seams are a little larger than a 1/4 inch. Most of the blocks I've tried to make are 12 inches or 13 inches. The 12 1/2 size has been difficult. I tried putting something on the machine for guidance and it interfered with the right hand feed dogs. I've been struggling with that. Yesterday I saw a picture of a guidance cut around the feed dogs. Go figure. It's true a picture says a thousand words.

I am so excited to receive blocks from this swap. They are all amazing. Will make a wonderful quilt for my Air Force son.

Berryberry - I started using the right side outer edge of my presser foot as my guide, and that made such a difference with my final sizing Previously I was using a sticky note marking the 1/4" seam allowance which apparently wasn't working very well - go figure! Of course, I need to also say some of my blocks were sewn w/my Baby Lock Ellegante and some were sewn w/my (old work horse) Bernina 900. I did find what works w/one machine doesn't work with the other . . . ah the life of a quilter . . . As it turned out, I have "extra" blocks that need just a little "additions" to bring them up to size and they will work fine on my Red, White & Blue quilt
