Hey JRSAY!!
OMG!! Horse chestnuts!! I didn't think there were any trees left! When I was a kid we played a game where we drilled a hole through the chestnut and dangled it on a shoe string. Then we took turns hitting your opponents chestnut with yours and the one who's chestnut got broken up and fell off the shoe string was the loser. We spent hours playing this game! My brother had the King chestnut (no one could beat him!), as it was practically petrified! I wanted to teach my kids how to play but we couldn't find the nuts anywhere!
Thanks for a couple of minutes of a happy memory!
Nancy
P.S. your pincushion is too cute!!

I've loved seeing all the cute pincushions in so many different designs that have been swapped. I hope everyone in the swap has gotten a pincushion from her swap partner by now or at least knows when to expect it.

OK. I got the OK to go ahead with pincushion swap #3 but new rules. If you want to be included you MUST have a pincushion made and ready to be mailed before you sign up. That way life can not get in the way and no worries about procrastinating. I will start another thread for pincushion swap
#3. It is important that everyone complies to the rules so no one will be without a pincushion in the end. I will assign partners as the sign ups come in but you MUST pm me to be included. I will NOT be taking sign ups off of the thread. Hopefully this will be a lot nicer for everyone.

I am finally able to share pictures from the 2nd pincushion swap. My camera broke down so I took pictures from the cell phone. Just took time to learn how to download to the computer. Took me a while to find them and figure out how to post. They were in with the rest of my pictures, but somehow the folder {dated today} posted right before my other folder dated in Jan 2010. I missed it when I first went through them.
I told OKDarla I would post pictures for her, didn't think it would take me so long. The cupcake was her pincushion for the swap. The chicken was the scrap square cut from my bowtuck bag i was just fiddling with. I had just seen the owl tute, so I had to throw in one of those too.{i am making about 50+ of them for gifts for my 2 quilt groups}
