I am thinking what would be a fun swap for AFTER the chocolate and rasperberry swap is finished. There is spring/pastel colors, patriotic colors, brights, and the list goes on and on. Sometimes when I know in advance of what we are thinking of making next, I keep my eyes open for fantastic pieces that are reaching out, wanting to go home. And if I have a reason to buy them, then I don't feel so guilty. So, any ideas. . .

What about a spring time theme, with the basic section being a basket, and we 'fill' it with flowers of our choice, whether it be applique' or pattern? Instead of being a traditional square, how about this block be 'turned' and it is diamond-ish instead?

And the basket could be applique' or block patterned as well. Or a block with mini baskets of flowers, just as long as the raw block is the 12.5 size. Just a thought. I have loved the two swaps I have participated in as it does give us a chance to push ourselves out a little from our comfort zone. Right Renee?

I am wondering how a patriotic swap would work,....there are a number of board members who live in other countries? Should we have a designated person from each country to do their own swap if enough people sign up? Being Canadian, I think patriotic would be great with the winter olympics coming up in February....we even have olympic themed fabric.

Perhaps instead of saying patriotic, it's better to say Red, white, blue. I appreciate that we have lots of friends from other countries that have different colors.

There isn't any reason why we can't have one swap after another  as long as there is enough interest in each one :D:D:D
