Ok, I'm going to start on my potholders today. I'm only going to make two since I only want two. I'll let you know when I'm done!

Would you prefer to have hanging loops on your pot holders or no loops?

It doesn't matter to me. I store my pot holders in a drawer right next to the over.

Hanging loops aren't really necessary for me either, mine go in a little drawer next to my stove.

Either way is good. I usually keep my potholders in a drawer... but those are the really old gross ones that I'll replace with these pretty ones! And from what I've recieved so far from swappers, they may need to be hung up 'cause they're so beautiful. So it's really up to you.

A little help please. I bought a polyester batting but the batting said it was fire retardant. Would that be good for a potholder? I couldn't find any other kind of batting. Also, I'm using the 100% cotton fabric I usually use for quilting. Is that ok or should I be using a thicker material? Thanks!

the only problem with poly batting is that if it gets too hot, it will melt. Probably cotton would be best. Also, something like insulbright will keep a person from burning their hands. It is used in most homemade things like potholders and then, cotton used for quilting is great! Just my thoughts.
