Potholder Swap - Signup by October 31, 2010

Thanks, Judy. I looked for the insulbright at the craft store yesterday but couldn't find any. I'm going to call my LQS to see if they have any. If they don't then I'll see if I can find some online.
Oh, and just so you all know, I am VERY new to this so I hope you all remember the saying, "It's the thought that counts." lol My potholders will not be perfect.

On a sidenote, I didn't think about it until I finished one of my potholders, but is it okay to use glazed thread? Or will that cause problems?

I don't think glazed thread is a problem. It's nice that you can participate and learn. I've been quilting for years, and am still learning from others and from projects I've ruined. That's how I knew about the poly batting! If you can't find Insulbrite, there is a new product out called InsulFleece and I actually like it better. It is softer and doesn't crinkle like Insulbrite.
My golden retriever is Kelsey, and she is my service dog. She's very smart and handy to have around!

Fons and Porter make a clutz glove. You can get them online or at Joanns Fabrics. Don't do like me and forget to put it on. I hope this helps. Hugs and Prayers coming your way!!

I'm a little gun shy as you can imagine and cut VERY slowly now, LOL. I've tried thimbles and they are painful because they keep rubbing against the most sensitive part of the cut. I'd appreciate some suggestions from homemade to store-bought solutions. Thanks so much!
