Potholder Swap - Signup by October 31, 2010

I started out smaller but now they are coming out around 8". I'm just having fun because the projects are small and I'm impatient to see an end product. I hope this becomes an ongoing challenge. I actually use the potholders I make under clear vases with pretty flowers so they show up very nicely. I can do one potholder a day with time for making meals in between and doing a load or two of wash, but at the end of the day, it is done and I have a nice finished product.
I'm just learning quilting with my BSR so hopefully no one will be too critical of the back,

Good idea about signing up AFTER the potholders are made!
A lot of things will work well for the "filling" - the main criteria for me is that it be fairly smooth (my grandma made lumpy ones) - and heat resistant (my mom used some fabric with poly for the batting - did not work out well)

Well, looks like 6 is going to be my limit. I wanted to make 10 but yesterday my left index finger was just a bit too far over my ruler and my rotary cutter took a chunk out of my finger from first knuckle through the middle of my fingernail. Thus, my quilting days are over for awhile until it heals. It took me forever to type this.

I am willing to make 4 extra potholders for you and send them in your name. Just PM with your info.
