Got some things gathered for an idea on a hike in the woods today. Hope it turns out the way I want it. :)

I have all day dedicated to ornament making! yippeee.. MDALL and I are putting together a tree for a senior home out here in CA to help brighten their holiday. They have a large dining room and volunteers come in and put up their own trees and there is a tree parade so they can all come by and see them. IT is a special thing that the seniors there look forward to. Its a lower income assisted housing and I know they will love it. Hearts and stars. if anyone happens to have extra time and would like to contribute to our little tree PM me ok? I also have to finish my thanksgiving package for my daughter. a busy month. I am so thankful for everything. I am an organ recipient and well I sure have a lot of paying it forward to enjoy. This is a very lucky year for me :)

oh MDALL I was thinking if we could go red/gold(yellow is fine) or whites? that would stand out I think. Any ideas for ornaments anyone let me know! I am running on hurry hurry right now.

Elisabrat, what size is the tree? And what size ornaments do you want? I could make some of those snowflakes in a gold color (not metallic thread). I can reduce the size some. Or I could make them in the white. Let me know, and I can make a bunch this weekend.

Good morning ladies. I just heard from Brenda with some sad news. Her father is about to pass on and she is on her way out of town to see him for the last time. Please keep her covered with prayer for a safe trip with a heavy heart. She will be back in touch when she returns as she will not have internet access.

Sorry, Anastasia, didn't know it was your BD. DD and DS also have BDs this month. My DS is a "hobgoblin", born on Halloween, also my brother, sister-in-law, a "twin" nephew to DS, niece, and a couple others in the family down the line. Happy Birthday! Nice haul you got.

Jaba! There seems to be a reindeer missing from the North Pole! He arrived at my house today! He's going out to my studio to keep guard over my small Christmas tree that I've put up out there. He's just too cute!

Glad you like him. He's not too much trouble to take care of, doesn't eat much and he only comes out to play once a year.

Cute ornies, Pat. I made a similar snowman doorknob hanger for my DIL a couple years ago. She has primitive snowmen all through her 100+ year-old house.

Gran of 6 we are making ornaments for a 5' tree. maybe 6 feet my sis is getting an artificial one so I am unsure. She is the total bargain hunter and now is the time to find one on Craigslist reasonable. We are going with white gold (yellow is fine) or red so please if you would like to contribute that would be amazing and gracious of you. I will be posting when the tree is set up for all of you to see what we put together. I am in need of only 125 more or so if anyone wants to toss one or ten my way :) ok it was a good sounding idea ..

Ornament swappers you should have your ornaments on Monday! We are going out of town for almost 3 weeks (new GSon in Ohio and Smokey Mountains on the way) so if the ornaments arrive and you don't get a thank you from me that's why, but I will say "Thank you" now and I will pm when I get home!

All the ornaments are looking wonderful. I too am feeling a bit intimidated, I had one idea but the proto type wasn't looking to well so I thought I go another direction, then yesterday I saw something that gave me an idea for one of my peeps-it would be something I would have to create from scratch, double serving of intimidation, maybe, we'll see. I may end up making 5 before I get to something that works. Maybe I can get them done this weekend.
I like all the ornaments that have been posted so if any of you have me send it I will love it.

These are going out to their new homes today. The original pattern is by Carried Away Designs (carriedawaydesigns.net). I took the liberty of using the base pattern, and turned the bird into a snowman for the second ornament.

What super cute ornaments! and intimidated ? I think your ornaments will be just fine. Simple ones are just as pretty as the more ornate ones. They all look great when hanging from a tree with lights on it. I just love sitting in a room, big lights off and looking at a pretty tree. Hot tea in my hand.. yup that is Christmas to me. Not the presents. It is all about the decorations lol. (that is a truth by the way I could care less about presents but I sure love decor).

This is so fun watching what everyone is making.

(slinking down under the counter if I am).. ready it gets worse.. it was Kenny Rogers Christmas.. lol I had to I couldnt help it. ornament making.. means silly Christmas music. The nutcracker is on the menu for today think the neighbors can handle that more (I like it louder) and well if your not into that stuff you would never know its Christmas right? lol like I care if anyone thinks I am a nutbar. Elisabrat, dont feel bad about the Kenny Rogers music. I am sorta a flake when it comes to Christmas music also. I can remember my dad playing Elvis at xmas and to this day I would love to have his xmas albums to listen to. They bring back such good memories. So enjoy your music, decor, and memories for that is what its all about.
