Sure. I'm glad you like it. I started by looking at another quilt block, drew it up then modified it. If I make another one, I'll change it again; would do some things differently.

So, I got a 'one of a kind' original!

Can't wait to see it! All your blocks are so beautiful.

Marija your block is on deck and under my needle now. I did the fussy stripe work today after my nap, but in addition to work I have classes this week so not sure when it will be finished.

Sewbiz when you quilt your blocks for QAUG do you add about 1/2" extra batting and backing on all sides of your block?

Yes, I cut those a bit bigger because the block may shrink up a bit during quilting. Then I trim the edges even with the front piece before joining. I think my blocks ended up about 12.25" after quilting.

I was using Hobbs 80/20 batting (80% cotton and 20% poly). I don't recommend QAYG for fluffy poly batting... but the 80/20 or even 100% cotton makes it a dream to work with.

The cool thing is that you can start quilting now on the sports blocks you already have, and be ahead of the game when the next batch of sports blocks comes back to you!

Thanks Sewbiz, haven't decided which boom to start with. Having finger surgery tomorrow, it should be quick and easy but no sewing supposedly for 10 to 14 days. I can see where using a rotary cutter is a no go since it's my index finger but will ask if I can quilt b4 that.

Terri best of luck with your surgery! I hope it goes smooth..assuming its your right hand?? :( I find if I cut too many pieces out my shoulder will ache more..GOOD LUCK!!

Terri, prayers sent your way that your surgery will go well!

I'm like Kathy, there are so many beautiful, amazing quilt blocks overtime I look. There are going to be some amazing quilts from this boom!

Hoping the finger surgery goes well for you, Terri. Follow dr.s orders! You can peruse patterns and surf online while you can't sew. Try Pinterest. You'll be there for days!

Joan, if cutting is making your should ache, please change your rotary blade, and possibly your mat! You can flip your mat over and use the smooth backside like a new mat, minus the lines. (You can get your lines from your ruler.) It sounds like you are having to press down too hard on your cutter. That will bother your shoulder. Maybe that's what's wrong with mine! :D
