Nothing blooming here except daffadols and the trees are beginning to color up. Im debating on whether to put my plants outside on the porch yet. It been in the 60-70s day time and surely its too late for snow and freezes. im more into the succulants, aloe, cactus, etc. my bleeding heart did bloom today I just noticed. One of my favorite plants, just wished it stayed color all year. I did put my hanging carnation out...I have a whole extra room during the spring summer with the plants outside! Means more room for more fabric! LOL I bought my grandsonn a tball bat, ball and glove for his birthday. He will be 4 next Sunday but parents have to work so we had his party down by the Katy trail in Rocheport today..turned out to be a beautiful day after a rainy night. he wont put the bat down...glad its going home with him! :)

What cute chicks, still can't get over the featherless ones! Is this a hobby?

Lady Banks roses are a vigorous climber with clusters of soft butter colored tiny roses. I got mine from cuttings from my uncle who lived in Moncks Corner, SC. His were planted on a chain link fence and they covered the entire fence along the back of his yard. They are a pain in the tush to root, for me anyway. Out of three attempts of about 12 cuttings each time, I got ONE to actually root. To tell the truth, I didn't think it had made it either, so I put the pot out under my fig tree beside the well house. The following spring, I noticed that it was climbing in the tree. It's already bloomed out this year and then we had a killing frost. That took care of the blooms right now, but it should come back out again. My whole tree was a gorgeous yellow. Wish I had a picture to show you. The draw back is, you have to keep it pruned so it doesn't completely take over everything. Just delicate little clusters of yellow roses. No noticeable scent.

Thanks Libster, they sound very pretty except for the taking over part. Already have that problem with a mint plant and something that just magically appeared that spreads like crazy

Keep mint in pots to keep it from spreading everywhere.
