Fabulous!!!

So everyone with health issues..... I hate that you are being troubled with them. But it sounds like all of you are being very proactive and are great at managing your healthcare. Eat well (make some chicken soup with simmering greens like Sewbizgirl told us about), try to stay stressfree, and laugh as much as you can. I will send everyone good gris gris ("luck" for those who don't speak New Orleans slang) from my corner of the world for health and peace so you can heal quickly and start quilting freely sooner than later.

Took me an extra 30 minutes to drive up north to visit my mom and sister. Drove hubby's old Dodge Ram 1500, bought a chair and we are redoing my porch cushions. To much stuff for my car. You drive that sucker, my arms feel like I wrestled an alligator but I made it safe and sound

My laptop died exactly one month after warranty ran out. What laptop has anyone had that lasted more than a couple of years?
Sewing machines are easier. Just got a Bernina 530-2 at tag sale. My repair guy was overly delightful when I brought it for a cleaning cause it's so well made and a pleasure to sevice.
But laptops are made to become obsolete. UGH

TG, I have a Toshiba laptop which seems to be about 3 years old. Perhaps older. Before that I had a Dell which was fine until I dropped it and killed it.

You scored a little GEM with that Bernina! I'm so happy for you. I have a Bernina Record 830, which is about the same machine, just a slightly updated body (by about 10 years). You will really enjoy that machine. I will never get rid of my Bernina. It's Old Standby. I used to FMQ on it before I even knew there was a name for that... up until I got my Juki quilter. Still love the Bernie, tho.

I bought a Leveno (sp) when I was in Florida and used it all the time. Brought it to Wyoming with me and will certainly take it back to Florida in October. I love it!! and I don't like laptops real well. Bought a desktop too and brought it back but it will stay here and replace an older Dell. I would buy Leveno again before a Dell or HP

We go through laptops pretty quickly also. I use my iPad most of the time and the lap top is for my embroidery.

Never heard of Leveno?? Do you know who makes it? I have an HP that Ive had for about 3 years and never had any problems with it. My older one was a HP also and it died after about 4 years. My sister left me a Berena when she died but my nephew didn't save the foot feed so Ive never used it. I priced one and it was $79 just for the foot pedal. Not sure of the model..I want to say 800 something. I just use my good old Singer that Ive had since 92..does great sewing, easy to clean, can do zig zag but I seldom use that. Id probably be lost with a fancier machine but would like one that does embroidery! Nice to hear what others have!
