Anything, so garden helpers (butterflies, pollinators and hummers) too?

Good news on your BIL, Janice! Sounds like he's on the road to recovery.

And you too, Kass. I was also wondering how you were feeling now. You must be much better if you've gone back to work. Yay!

Tuesday I'm getting my spinal injection. Have no idea what to expect from that but they said bring a driver and stay home the next day! Guess I'll be getting some good anesthesia drugs. Usually I freak out at anything medical and definitely if it's invasive.... but this time I'm saying, "Bring it on!". And really hoping it helps. I have a couple of road day trips I want to make, and definitely can't do it with this bad sciatica the way it is. Wish me luck!

Glad to hear your recovery is continuing, kassaundra. I guess it'll take time.

Sewbiz, sounds like the epidurals my sister had for her neck pain. They did help but the effects were temporary. I hope what your having will have lasting results.

Had a few hours to work on the quilt. The horizontal sashings are attached to the rows above but they are not quilted yet so it's still in four pieces.

I'm pleased but it's going to be a bit more unwieldy under the needle than I originally planned. I've still got to add borders too. It'll be a challenge.

SewBiz sending lots of good thoughts for long term relief

Janice quilt is looking great. With the wider sashing did you follow kass's totorial?

sewbizgirl 06-04-2017 09:10 PM

Thanks for the well wishes... :o

Janice, the quilt is looking great. Hang in there and conquer that puppy! I love all the blocks you got... and the colors. I'm a greenie.

Terriamn, I haven't read Kass's tut yet. I read several online tuts and blogs and went with a combination of them with wider sashing. I did want a "fancier" quilting on the sashing but I was fretting about getting it "perfect" that I abandoned the idea in favor of straight lines and completion. Am finally able to recognize and avoid most of my stumbling blocks. The quilt is now in two pieces. I'm also considering making the border wider yet than the sashing, I've got just enough fabric to do it, but I won't decide until I take pix both ways. That's days down the road as this week is full already.

And DH is home. Yay!

I prewashed my Boom fabric. These are the color catchers. First on top, then second, then third. Having second thoughts about my fabric.

There is a color stabilizer I forget the name, but I would wash it w/ that then try one more time w/ the color catcher if it is still running then it probably won't work.
