Knitette if you sent me a rock from scotland and maybe a wee bit of yarn, and if someone was in Ireland and sent me a belleek cup and nothing else, I'd be doing the happy dance!!!! . |
Oh LaQuita...good for you. I have a friend that did some sort of band and it worked really well. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you will be up and about soon.
On the $10 note...my packages are usually worth more than that because I shop on sales and anything I put in the package from my stash is not counted as a dollar value. Personally, I love to send my packages and I really don't care as much about what comes back to me. I love whatever comes .. I think it is the anticipation of a package coming that does it for me. I sent my package yesterday and I did blink at the cost of shipping out of the US but I really do think she will like the box of goodies and that is what I care about. |
LaQuita, soon you'll have to change your user name to Slim or Slenderella!

I vote for Slenderella

OFF TOPIC notice!
As many (or most I hope) know I work a part-time 1 day a week job usually on Friday's only unless I am needed to fill in because we are short of help (someone on vacation etc.). Well since I am going on a mini vacation (4 days) that means I will not be working this Friday. So I came to work today instead. During the last several days the boss (Mark) has been coming to the realization that he is getting to bogged down in paperwork, and that if he had me to do it for him then it would lighten up his load as he owns 3 companies, has a wife and 3 YOUNG daughters all UNDER the age of 10 yrs old. So today he started teaching me the new software program he designed and I am going to start taking over the ALL the bookkeeping for the company along with assisting in the data entry for one of his other companies. Of course for the time being I will still be only part time but HOPEFULLY I will start getting more hours of work if that happens look out everyone Louise will be back to full steam ahead for swapping (at least I hope so). |
Louise, that is wonderful news! Now be sure your hubby keeps the doors on the jeep so you don't tumble out into the wilderness and miss your chance to work more!

Mailed my package to my SP out of the USA today.
Starshine, like the way you wrote about the exchange because we all do it differently. I probably don't put in as much as most people but also try to give nice gifts and ones that I would like receiving. I never realized that people wrote on this thread like this. Finding it very interesting. Quilty-Louise, good luck with your job and hope it turns into full time. |
I WILL be wearing my seatbelt, and I THINK he has the "net & bar"
that attach to help keep a person in. But I truly hope we can take the doors off it will be so much more fun to take the pictures that way. My two youngest daughters will be coming to town (they left MO today) and they are planning to drive up to the cabin and follow us home on Sunday. They will EXPECT us to "cater" to their whims and go at THEIR pace (hurry down the mountain and get home). But we (Tim & I) discussed this and have decided that they are NOT going to be "dictating to us our driving schedule we plan to take 6+ hours to get home and not any time less. This is the CLOSEST to a real vacation that Tim & I have taken since we met/been together and that is almost 12 years. This is OUR time together.
