Be careful, Libster! Prayers for all concerned. I am heading home to MS from Memphis TN today. The storm is supposed to be coming straight here (Memphis), if it doesn't change course. It's so huge that it's going to effect many states.

You be careful too, going home. Hope you have no problems finding gas on the way. I hate these bad storms.

It was a beautiful day for a drive! My sciatic nerve isn't happy about it but I made it home fine. Gas is cheaper in Jackson MS than in Memphis TN, tho the prices are up about $.40 per gallon since before Harvey. We have plenty of gas here so far, but then we are west of "the path". I filled up anyway, once I got back. :)

Finished my last block for autumn. Will post a picture of Kass's block in the daylight. Also made a bonus block for Mona and hope to make a couple more tomorrow morning before I leave for a 2.5 day quilt retreat. Have been watching the weather station non stop. So frightening

Sewbiz good news that you made it home safely.

Sewbiz, glad you made it home without problems. I sure hope your son is doing much better now also. Let's all keep our Florida and Georgia sisters in our prayers for safekeeping through this storm.

Our rain from Irma started a couple of hours ago and it's gusting. Still not bad. Looks like the storm is drifting west so it'll be a bit better for us than originally thought, if it stays on that track. Still not going to be nice. I'm worried about trees coming down more than anything else. We've got 80 footers and with all the rain we've had this summer, they may not stay upright. Some are close enough to the house to damage it. We'll see.

I'm off to put your recent blocks in the gallery. I've got the last few inches of binding to sew on a swap piece and then it's off today. Then it's just hunker down and hope we don't lose power.

Best wishes to all in the path of Irma.

It's a beautiful day here... but cold with some wind gusts. I was supposed to teach water aerobics in an outdoor pool today but I am doubtful anyone will want to get in the water in this temperature. :( This may be the end of our season. No rain here yet, but we probably will get some.

My friend who boarded up the house and stayed in Miami said nothing really happened at their house except some trees down. No flooding, but in downtown Miami there was. She said it was a mess outside, tho. They were lucky. I thought she was nuts for staying!

Yes, my son is doing better. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers!
