MJP, LOVE your dresden! Great colors too.

Am back from my yoga class...ahhh. Between the Boom being almost finished for me and yoga, I'm in a calm place. The packages, however, are still here, waiting for pickup. Our carrier usually comes about this time so soon you'll begin getting your tracking info. We love our "regular" carrier. She's always so helpful and she asks about what I'm shipping each time. She can now predict when I'll have a big mailing going out based on when everything starts coming to me.

So, the "almost finished" part for me is that I'd like to hear from those of you who wish to share with me your experience with Boom 19. I like to do this by email, not online, in case there is something you'd rather everyone not learn. I'd like to hear positives, negatives, and anything else in between you want to tell me. If something is particularly good or a block way above your expectations, I'd love to know. Somebody's block is exceedingly pretty or neat or well-constructed, I'd love to know. Did you find a past Boomer has really upped her game, tell me! If you find problems with a block, I want to know. I understand this may be uncomfortable for some but the ubiquitous "everything is perfect" doesn't give me a true picture of what's happening. But, if that's how you really feel, go for it. I'm not looking to nitpick but I'd like to know if what I saw and what I experienced from the admin side is similar to what you all feel.

Anyway, feel free to email me ([email protected]) with anything you'd like to share for both the Summer and Autumn groups. What is said to me, stays with me. Once I get some info in, I'll share, in general terms, what I've learned with you all.

Thank you to EVERYONE who participated in Boomerang Swap 19. :) You all are the best QB swappers! And you know I'm not the least bit biased.

I'm off until Sunday I think. Time to decompress. Enjoy your weekend, Boomers.

This dressie is great, but that thread work is truly impressive.

Kass your Dresdens inspired me. I bought the distinctive dresdens book. I didn't feel confident enough making my own patterns like you do. I don't usually do pieced blocks so this was a good exercise for me.

This little half finished quilt is for the woman who is letting me use her choreographed songs for my senior exercise class. She wanted a fuschia, purple and orange quilt.

Gary is on his yearly Tamplen men camping trip. I always get off work for it b/c of leaving the animals for 24 hours unsupervised has proven to be a disaster in the past. Anyway I have been working on my Underground railroad quilt. Here are some pics.

These are the blocks I made for it

These are the blocks I got in the swap (I made the carpenter's star for the swap)

These are the DW blocks I'm adding

This is what the center is going to look like

And a close up of the sashing and corner stone. I am incorporating DW and butterflies into this quilt, b/c both I think epitomize the sentiments of the URR concept.

My blocks are here too! I've already welcomed them home with a warm massage with my iron. Ladies, you've really outdone yourself this Boom. My blocks are spot on. Thank you all so much for your talent sharing with me.
Janice is, as usual, the perfect hostess. What would we do without her! (Perish the thought!) Thank you, Janice. I can't wait to see your red and white quilt.
