Not necessarily, depends on how the policy reads. Some high value items can be excluded in the main coverage, or have a low dollar limit w/o a rider. The other thing you need to ask the agent is if your items are covered at "actual cash value" or "replacement cost". If you policy covers for "acv" your items will be depreciated, while replacement costs will replace new value for old items.

Didn't know there was such a thing! Hubby has a good amount of coverage on our house "contents", so I guess my machines would be covered under that.

I just ironed 2 1/2 yds of 108” fabric. Talk about a workout, I only have an apt sized, over the door ironing board. Gratefully, I took it out of the dryer while still a bit damp. i’m now recouping with a cup of earl grey with a dose of quiltingboard! ❤️ Can’t sit too long. Have to get to the LAQ to deliver my quilt.

Beautiful fabric!! Or is that your top? Either way, it's gorgeous. Looks so peaceful. Ironing in a small area is a big task! :)

Beautiful quilt, GramE!
I always say I'm going to put a big wooden top on my ironing board... and cover it with batting and a sturdy fabric. Haven't done so yet... maybe because the legs of my current board aren't real steady. Need to find a better one first. |

I do carry extra coverage for my machines, but they are under a business policy since I quilt for customers and use my machines for such. Even if not doing for a business, it is advisable to be sure that you have that extra coverage for valuables in your house. Normal policies only cover so much. If a fire happens in the garage and hubby has lots of tools that go over the limit allowed, you are without. Just food for thought on the subject.
