I finished Bstone's block today. I like how it turned out. I could only use 8 of those 4 patches so I picked my least favorite to eliminate, hope it was your least favorite too.

Well that wasn't a very lengthy tease, I didn't think I would get finished today, but I got on a roll. This block is for Suziesew hope you like it and it doesn't have to many colors.

My machine is set for a scant 1/4", just 1 thread width exactly, but what I have to do is when I cut strips or pieces, etc. make sure your ruler line is on the fabric, not just before or the ruler line butted up to it. If you don't lay the ruler on the fabric itself usually it will not be the width it should be. Most generally I have found that if I don't do this I will have about a 12 1/4" block and those points will be right at the edge or an eighth of an inch inside. Just a suggestion some of you may try, I know it makes a big difference for me. Also, I use the same ruler for cutting a block. Sometimes you think they are all the same, but believe me they are not! The width of a black line on them can make a difference when you cut several pieces.

Hav, beautiful blocks! All captured the owner's themes so well.
Queen, thank you for my cool surfer block. Great contrast achieved. |
I was hoping the caramel color wasn't too dark.

Finally back from vacation.
Thank you for the beautiful block have4boys. I’m already making quilting plans for this one. I think a round medallion quilting pattern will look great on this block. I received my squishy with the 19 fabrics. I have to finish quilting a lap quilt and then I’ll start. I have ideas for a lot of them. For those of you who are letting me use more than two colors you’ll be getting one of my odd blocks. Sorry Libster. No star for you. I have a really good idea for this one. |
H4b lots more great blocks, very unique. Wish I could have figured out the EQ software
QB another wonderfully unique block. Do you use EQ software also |
Great blocks hav4boys, I love mine, thank you! All that fabulous color!!
