Bonnie from the picture your block looks great as is but I trust your judgment if you think it needs to be changed up

I realized I made a major mistake in my blocks for paper piecing swap that I need to finish before really getting into my boom blocks. I am so mad at myself. Something didn’t look right but I just kept sewing.

Sewbiz, All of these blocks are great, my Christmas block is perfect. Other than piecing the blocks together, show n tell is my favorite. I love seeing what others see in the fabric.

Sewbiz, I got my package today. I am not sure what modern blocks look like but I am sure to have some good selections from my stash for each person. The creativity begins starting tomorrow. Finishing my baby I spy quilt first since baby was due in August!

QuiltCon Block Challenge has pictures to give you some ideas. The colors pictured were part of the challenge, so use whatever colors you want.

First, thank you so much for the blocks! Loving Meg she looks so pretty! I love that everyone else got as inspired as I did getting hands on fabric. I have Pets and Pokes fabric out and was going to the quilt con page I listed earlier to go a little outside the box for those :-) I finished 2 for duckling and one for Terri. I am loving the hourglass pattern because it requires 3 values and allows you to fussy cut the motifs. I used it to fussy cut sunflowers and the little animals in the baby quilt. I might do some thangles next….but hopefully will have a few more to post tonight, hugs!

Terri the color is actually the light yellow requested. Not sure why it is showing up more cream.

I made one for pokeweed today. I tried to pull the pink and purple from the spots in this fabric. Hope you like it

Love all these new blocks! Reba, yours for Pet is a masterpiece. You did an amazing job with the colors.

And now... A SCOLDing. I have been making blocks and can't believe how many people left the selvedges on what they sent! No, no, no. Always trim them off first, then measure, as per the rules. Funny story, I have put them in my blocks by accidentally not catching that they weren't trimmed off. If you left your selvedges on and get a block with them in it, oh well. It's your own fault. I guess next time I will remind everyone to trim selvedges five or ten times before we mail. (Same way I do with reminding you to get your blocks to 12.5" before turning them in...) Ha ha but not ha ha.

Here are what I've been working on today. A Chubby Star and a Bear's Paw for Pokeweed. A Chubby Star for Terriamn, and a revision to my previous block for Terriamn.
