Received Veronika's F8 yesterday. Gorgeous fabric! :thumbup: The finished block is made, but I ran out of stamps. It should be in the mail hopefully in the morning. :) Hope you like it! (I wanted to keep it! LOL!) ;)

No squishies today. Just junk mail. Waah! ;) (No bills, though, so I can't complain too much! ha ha)

I think the last Boomerang swap was going on when the board changed from the old format to the new one. The method of adding a photo was very different, and was a bit confusing. I think there were some technical issues at first, too. That may be part of the reason some of the Boomeranger's put their photos into a separate album (like Photobucket), rather than posting them "directly". There will probably be more photos in the threads this time, now that the board changes have settled down and people have had some time to figure the new features out. :)

My FIRST block from buddy's mom!!! Hubby said it is "interesting", however I LOVE it!!! Sent my mom a picture and she said I can start getting ready to assemble MY quilt!!! :)

Hello my fellow Boom Swappers,
I do not normally do this but I have a very special request. Most of you know my story and all that I have gone through over the last few years. It appears my surgery in January has definitely made things better for me and for that I am eternally grateful. I think it was just in the nick of time too because if I still felt so awful I would not be able to handle the latest news I received. I do not want to go in to details here on the board but I am asking this as a favor for my Izabella. Many of you have watched her grow up here on the QB through my pictures and my avatar changing every so often with a new one of the love of my life. She now has a very tough road ahead of her and her father and I will be here to support her in every way possible as will her grandparents and other relatives. What I am asking is this. Would any of you be willing to make a block for her if I send you an F8? I will gladly make a block in return if you send me fabric. Her favorite color is blue. I know when I was having my troubles my hug quilt and the love from everyone here made such a difference for me. I am hoping I can do the same for her with the help of all of the wonderful friends I have made in the Boom swap.

Well, I got my F8s in the mail today. Yesterday just would not allow it to happen. Didn't even leave the office til 9 or so last night. Gonna be another late night tonight, so will work on blocks this weekend. Didn't get the mail yesterday either, dang it all anyway. DH will have to get it when he gets home tonight. So much fun, so little time!!!
