I'm going to need LOTS of chocolate. I can't decide what to use. Was going to go with a selection my college princess picked but there isn't enough. HOWEVER we're shopping today and I'm taking her to two quilt stores. Maybe something will talk to us! Send quilty thoughts my way. :D
|
I sent a PM, if anyone else is needed. Things have been crazy around here lately. ;)

So my goal coming up in the beginning of September will be to get all my envelopes addressed, stamped and mailed with the f8th out. then my second goal will be to mail each block out when I receive the f8th in. This way I should keep up without sitting and doing all at once. The first time on Boom 6 I was at the last minute because I waited. Had all the fabrics for the blocks but did not cut or make until last very second. The second one, I mailed a couple months early but waited till had nearly all the f8ths and sat down and did them all at once. Goes easier to some point, but not the smartest I think. But this time, since it is my third Boom, going to do it as they come in. I think it will help break up my cycle of all at once. I am trying to decide for sure what to do for blocks. since I am in a large group, maybe you ladies know, can all of these blocks, 35, fit in one quilt? I want to put them on point like I saw earlier in the thread. I really liked that setting. So does that mean also that the fabric should be less active as to allow them blocks to sit next to each other without sashing or will I still need to sash them? Oh the questions are rolling around now and i still have 9 more UFOs to finish this month. Yep, I am behind, customer quilts and show quilts taking up longarm and a beautiful dd making a quilt. of course, there is that canning in there as well. Any suggestions would be great.

the one making a quilt is in the graduation gown.

Beth I was trying to figure out who was who in your avatar :) Beautiful ladies!
I think all 35 would fit in one quilt if not on point. On point makes the quilt much larger usually so depending on what size you wanted would be what I would use as a determining factor. Okay so as of right now I have 4 full small groups and 3 (possibly 2 if moonrise confirms she def wants in) to complete the one large. If I cannot get the last 2 or 3 needed how do you swappers in the large group feel about 33 or 34 swappers instead of 36? It will make either 32 or 33 blocks..... Hugs April PS Unless anyone can twist more arms for people to join a large group. Please please :D |

It does not matter to me if it is less people. I am good with whatever we end up with then if someone notices a little later and wants to join in, then so be it. I think that happened last time on Boom 7 and was great. She made some real pretty blocks. Now if that was a dog in that advertisement, I might be interested. LOL

WAIT I saw the people down the street have a free puppies sign out.. how about I go pick them up and get them ready for shipping? overnite and all, a bit of food etc tossed in those chocolate bars, kitten cuddly toy for the puppy to play with.. any more requests???
April, did I go to a large or small group? originally signed up for small but am ok with large if that helps or maybe already there and well.. wouldnt put it past me to mix that up at all.. light are on but I cant remember if I am home or not.. |

LOL I have a huge puppy...she just turned a year old.
Elisabrat I have you in a small group :) If I move you to a big it throws off my smalls LOL There is no winning sometimes is there? Hugs April |
So elisabrat, what kind are they. Don't put the chocolate "in" with the puppy, make it real sick. Now be sure to add that fabric, I can wash that and the puppy when it arrives. I will have you send to my office, someone is always there. No Fed Ex does have guaranteed next day and I think UPS does also, hopefully they don't throw those boxes.
I don't think I am ready to boggie, but would love to boogie on.:o |
Ok ok i got carried away,i ment boogie, iam on phone so my hand gets movin to fast at times. Lol lol

Hugs April:D Love the great dane puppy. I myself am thinking about something small 5-10 lb, toy dog, fully grown. I want a baby that will stay a baby now my little girls are 7. I have been looking at maybe a Maltese as the hair needs to be clipped and they do not have fur. This would be better for one of my children with allergies. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/maltese.htm |
Those blocks are very nice. I love the color blue too.
|
I am in the large group and I am fine with doing less blocks. Since this is all new to me, it might even be better. I am pretty easy, and I usually just go with the flow. But no rush, I am still waiting for my fabric I ordered for this swap.
|
less is fine with me. :)
|
It doesn't matter to me, do what you need to do to make it work is what I say...LOL I'm not picky!

Oh I remember the picture of Spotzzz when she was a puppy! She has really "GROWN" up to be a pretty dog.
|
ok ok courier then, the puppy will come courier, with one cute kitten too for it to play with. Both will be securely humanely duct taped to the bottom of the steel uncrushable crate (air included) so they dont get tossed around chocolate securely attached in seperate carrier locked so said courier does not his paws on it before you do.. um anything else? oh oh oh and a string of dancing, singing girls who drive and type at the same time (such skills you say! wow now you HAVE TO JOIN) and of course piles and piles of beautiful fabric for you to play with too!
LovingIzabella, that is NOT a dog. That my dear is a pony. Your little girl has it all. Her own pony. My little girl will be crushed. She never got one of those.. oh fine only 15 measly blocks? I can do that eyes closed ok better not I am hell on irons and skin.. .. feel free to change your mind April should the need arise. or.. should someone drop out and need help you could always keep me in mind. We do only stocking presents with each other at the holiday so I never worry about having enough time or funds. The kids come up for a day or two then its just the two of us and all those kittens no one is taking me up on yet.. (AH! an idea! I will just put a ribbon on them when I return the finished blocks! dont tell anyone ok? it will be a secret) |
Okay, moonrise is in! :D (LOL!)
|
Elizabrat...put the kittens in the kids stockings or wait, halloween is coming up...treat kittens :)
None for me please...we have 6 (yes six) cats we're feeding right now along with a few other wild type critters and uncountable birdies. |
Let me know when you ship them. How big a kennel do I need for it, you did not tell me what kind to expect.
|
I am ok with less blocks whatever you need to do. I got my fabric all cut out today. I feel accomplished and can use the fabric that I have extra to make some more than one block for myself. I am super easy going so whatever works. Wooohoooo
Melinda |
Please give me a second large group if you don't mind April. I can handle it and will love it!
Charlottemarie |
WOW, lots of messages, mine got lost along the way???

Sneak peek of my fabric. Got it washed, dried, and cut. Now to iron it and get it packaged up. Hope I have enough Press ~n~ Seal left! ;) The birds are small-ish. The largest bird, the blue jay, is only about 2-1/2" long. The photo kind of makes it look like it's a large-scaled print, but it isn't. :)

moonrise, I LOVE your fabric!!! :)
|
Sorry - house if full of pets so can't take any more four legged critters.
I would , however, be open to the CHOCOLATE :o I am always open for MORE FABRIC :D  ;) Got the fabric cut today. I chose two different ones so will make two quilts. :) Only problem- they are both only 42" wide so pieces are 10" X 18". Hope that doesn't get in the way of making the blocks. |
oh oh oh I love that bird fabric.. and Quiltermom, you said one puppy, one kitten and chickens with chocolate right? probably small crate will be fine shipping is less if you stuff it all in one tiny box. Let me get that order ready for you! ORDER UP.. hey fill those spaces with lots of fabric we dont want that box to go to waste.. prevents movement in shipment.

|
I am in a large group and small one so i dont mind doing 33 or less, whatever works:)
|
I am fine with fewer in the large group. I am doing one large and one small, I would like for you to keep the puppies Kitties and snails~ Give me the snips of fabric and everything nice thou!
I think I might have quoted that wrong, but I did have some cool fabric with snips and snails and puppy dogs on it! It was supposed to be for a baby boy, but I made a bed for my cat out of it! Worked for me... Marybeth |
Moonrise, I love your fabric, I hope you are in my group, I have some fabric that will go great with it! Don't worry about being a little short, I have never measured a piece of fabric I got in a boom, well not yet!
Bella told me I need to replace her picture in my Avatar. My cat is always telling me what to do! Darn cat :D |
Great fabric's. Gonna be an awesome swap.
