I was hoping to get mine in the mail Monday but it looks like it will be tuesday, didnt get lables printed...I always have to remember how,,yikes!

I will gladly pay postage to anyone that got mine and had to pay. This is what I was told: I took mine to the post office and she weighed and put it through their little slot card and said they were fine at 45 cents in the US, I did not put the stamps on, she stamped them. She said the directive from the PO that they get is that it is strickly a judgment call anymore. If it comes stamped from another PO it has been okayed by them and that no due postage is ever charged. If you, meaning us, puts a regular stamp on them and just mails them, then it is the judgment call on the receiving PO as the whether postage is due or not. This lady is the postmaster here and says she hates it because no 2 people can ever be the same every single time. Hope this makes sense of what I'm trying to say, anyway I will send the extra postage if you just let me know.

I agree with you. In fact I think it's BS all post offices should have the same rules and not make up there own as they see fit. I take mine to the post office she or he puts the stamp on they check every package and weigh and they put 45 cent stamp on. And I'm sorry if anyone has to pay extra for me just let me know and I will send it back with your block.

There was only two times I had to pay extra. And this makes my 3 boomerang swap. So with those odds I'm ok having to pay the 20 cents if needed.

LOL I like your way of thinking make them count those pennies and see if the next time if they just let it slide.

It is almost a game to them to see how many they can catch, last time I had to pay I had a pocket full of pennies, So if they want to play I can add my spin to the game.

So I don't forget Nexxus, Happy Birthday this coming weekend. I do not usually get on the computer during the weekend because so busy quilting and such, so thought I better say it early.

I sent out a lot of blocks going home... If you get a block with a postage stamp and a metered stamp, this is what I have to deal with all the time! The young man at the post office today tried shoving the envelopes through the little slot at an angle... needless to say I had to pay extra for all but 2 of them!

maybe I will just deliver them on Monday mornings when the girl who is very sweet is working!

I hate giving up and letting them win, but I am tired of fighting them and might just do swaps where hostess exchanges blocks, and I get them all at the same time! Frustrating for sure!

Hey does any one remember what page the instructions are on for mail merging the excel spread sheet to make labels...I always forget,,,I tried tonight but there must be a step I am not doing correctly...Thanks for any help I was trying to mget in mail today but no time to print all the adresses and return addresses so until I figure this out they will sit.. Thanks...I need step by step instructions I have microsoft word and excel

Instead of using the microsoft mail merge, I go to www.avery.com and do it online. Select "design and print online" and then choose labels. Just put in the template number for your labels (it should be somewhere on your package) and search that number. It will bring up lots of different styles of labels you can use. On mine, I used one that let me upload a graphic. I chose a quilt block and was very pleased with the way it printed. It asks if you want to do a mail merge and then asks for the file name. You then move over the fields that you want. Even though it only showed 3 lines, since I wanted to include the board name and group (which I added on my spreadsheet), I just put in spaces after the name until it went to the next line. I then added the graphic and printed them. Very easy. I also did a sheet with my own name, board name, address, & state with a different graphic. Again, super easy to do. Hope this helps if you don't here from anyone else.

Thanks bibliostone I just got home so I will go up and try it and maybe be able to mail in the morning ...when it asks for a file name did you save the excel spreadsheet somewhere that you recommend?.

I make a folder on my computer for each boom swap. In that folder I save the excel file, pictures of each fabric received, and blocks made and received.

I received my first two finished blocks today. thanks dotcomdtcm and marytoddliz....they are both great and will fit in nicely with my theme

I am mailing 4 out tomorrow....goldendog55, ljdugas, marytoddliz and ssnare,....how you like them, let me know when you get them.

Just at Joannes but its been about 4 or 5 months ago...I had almost bought it several times and one day I just couldnt pass it by anymore. If I ever see it again I will let you know..There are so many fabrics that everyone sent I love,, I got some connecting threads Parlor pets like another lady here,,,I really loved the color so I went to their site and got 2 yards of 3 different patterns of that line,,,I want to use it in the next boomerang 9 swap ..it was on sale for 2.96 a yard and thought Purrfect...Literally...Hope that boomer doesnt care if I copy het fabric...
