I signed up for a small group, however it really does not make any difference which size group, whichever one that will balance out your swap. I am happy with with all. Boom 7 was just great!

Possums... Well I have Dogs and Cats to throw in the mix. I plan on making a quilt for our local humane society to raffle off. so think, dogs and cats when working on my quilt in blues and browns and puppy dog tails... that is what my quilt will be made of. Thanks, Phannie

what a great idea Phannie! I love doing things for the critters too. Who doesn't love Dr. Seuss? great fabric. Big kid here I guess. I am excited. I am sorry, my memory is not too good.. when do we find out who we are swapping with? I am sure its in here. Obviously chomping at my own bit. Nothing new :)

Thanks, I had read that part but thought maybe somewhere in the first five pages I lost the updated when part. I have some memory problems right now that I am trying to adjust to..so forgive me if I ask goofy stuff. As I have said before I have moretimers disorder and am working hard at getting back to "sometimers"..sometimes I remember sometimes I don't. That was a whole lot more fun :)

On that subject I have a question for all you quilters. This is my newest unfun thing. I look at a pattern. the pic is say a red white blue.. I want to do black orange and pink (not really). I can not figure out when cutting though I look at it 100 times how to remember which one is supposed to be the 'red' or white' and end up cutting the wrong pieces again and again. I never had this trouble even two months ago. I guess I will have a nice collection of odd shapes and sizes for a scrap quilt. I even write it down, still cut the wrong colors. AHHHHH. The doc says this is a side affect of my being so sick this year. He says it might or might not be permanent and I could truly use help figuring out how to process this stuff again as easy as before.

hi 'elisabrat' i know how you feel about working out the colours etc,

how about marking the pattern, if it says 'fabric A', 'fabric B', 'fabric C' and you are using 3 different colours or patterns...
mark next to 'fabric A' blue with a colour pencil and the same with the others with red or green pencil (obviously with your proper colours lol...) i would even go right through the pattern and mark all the way through to the end with the pencils, just so you know you have got it right...
it would save yourself a lot of time and fabric!!!
if it's fabrics with large, med & small patterns to it, then mark 'fabric A' = lg, 'fabric B' = med, 'fabric C' = sm...
and so on...

if you don't want to 'mark' your book, then maybe take a photocopy and alter that...

i hope this helps, (or at least makes sense!!) it sure helps me!!
good luck!!

Another question... I was writing my note today and wondered, do we request any scraps back? I don't care either way. But, it there was a piece I could use in a scrappy border... that would be fun.

Elisabrat, Sometimes when changing colors is giving me fits, I draw the pattern on graph paper and then color it with crayons so I can "see" how to cut each piece. That is especially helpful when I am reversing dark and light values.

Elisabrat,
Me too, send me the practice blocks! Love it, you won't have any problems in this swap. Everyone appreciates a nice block!

I have all my material ready to go. This will be fun. I used some different materials. My main is material from Australia...Babuska dolls. I will need the scraps back from that. My other it doesn't matter but I will put a note in with the material. I just love what anyone comes up with. I am looking forward to getting everyone else's material to work on. Let me know if you need your scraps back.
