Daisy, to add a picture click on the tree in the window frame, it is on the menu bar when you are composing a post. I am not sure but you might have to set it up if you don't see it right now. After you click on the tree a dialog box will pop up and you tell it where to find the picture. Hope this helps.

If your pic is loaded onto the computer, you click on browsw, it will browse your your files, click on pic files, double click on the photo you want and hit upload on Tiny pic, once it's loaded, there will be options, copy the one for message boards, and paste to your post here. It's a few easy steps that I have learned to zip through. HTH

PS... I usually copy and resize my photos in paint I want to post on message boards so they are not big.

Hi Everyone
It is April (LovingIzabella) I am unable to get my laptop working again!! And posting from my phone is just not an option so I am posting from mom's computer.
I am thinking about doing a small group again but debate between these two fabrics if I do.. What do you all think?
Hugs
April

daisey 08-05-2012 04:01 PM

Ilike the blue flower one! very Pretty
By the way I dont see a tree on the menu bar...resizing the pictures in apint is so confusing to me...why did they change the way to post pictures?
It used to be so easy.
I have almost finished quilting My boom 6 quilt and then I will post it. I just finished one of the boom 7s today, but still need to quilt it and the other boom 7 quilt will be done as soon as my sashing fabric arrives. I ordered some Chicken Wire fabric to go with the chick/rooster blocks you all worked on ...

marytoddliz 08-05-2012 04:24 PM

April, I like them both, hard to decide which I like better.

Daisey, it took me a while but once I figured it out, it was pretty straight forward.
You should have the menu bar at the top of the quick reply box.
The tree is the third one in from the right side. If you hover over it, it says insert image.
A pop up box gives you 2 choices insert URL or From computer.
If the picture is on your computer you just brows to it. highlight it and then after the picture is in the gray box then you click on update. The picture will appear in your Reply box

moonwork42029 08-05-2012 04:30 PM

April -- I like them both :)

Daisey -- the "tree" is the 3rd icon from the right side of the "options" toolbar on the quick reply section. When my cursor is hoovers over the "tree", it shows "insert image" under the tree. The "tree" looks like a window frame with a teeny tree in the distance. When you click on it, it asks you where to get your image from...be sure it's the "computer" option not the "URL" option. After you select the image, you have to also click on the "upload image" or it won't load. Sometimes I have to "load" the image twice if I haven't typed in the reply block first.

Hope this helps.

moonwork42029 08-05-2012 04:31 PM

Maryt...oh that is too funny, it's almost like we were talking to each other while we typed ... :D

Yosamitesa 08-05-2012 04:56 PM

See the part in gray with the buttons? That is the menu/tool bar.

goldendog55 08-05-2012 08:25 PM

April, I like the top one, too. I've always wanted to make a peacock block!

wanda lou 08-05-2012 08:48 PM

Are we close to getting our shipping list? I'm ready to go!

DogHouseMom 08-06-2012 11:25 AM

April - I'm with Rebel ... I like the Peacock feathers. Picturing that one with lovely solids and/or metallic golds.

Elisabrat 08-06-2012 02:45 PM

I love all the fabrics. I put mine in manila envelopes with a card for each one and they are on the counter waiting on mail to's. YIPPEE> Being a true Christmas fan, love the fabs. Vote for the blue floral vs peacock feathers (like I have any say after putting my own choice in tidy envelopes before you could shoot me). The russian doll fabric is so great I went to ebay and ordered some for a tablerunner for my russian friend. She will love it. Thanks for the idea! Christmas without any trouble. How wonderfully nice.
Thanks for all the advice again I will work hard at remembering it and if I forget? I will write a note .. now where is that note? ..

I have not tried ebay to look for this material. good suggestion. I saw it here on one of the swaps as someone in Australia had it. When I was there visiting my daughter, I checked all the patchwork shops that I could get to and no one had it. I finally found it on line and had to have it delivered from Sydney. It is very pricey.......about 22 per meter. I have never bought on ebay so I will check that out.

Barb

It was me!!!! This was my fabric for the Boom 6.0 swap. I have almost finished the quilt now and will post soon. The fabric came from a shop called Spotlight, it was last years fabric so i doubt there would be much around. When I got it they were in the process of discontinuing it so it was $9.95 a meter, but i dont have any left now. They also did the same design with a white background.

Nexxus831 08-06-2012 04:51 PM

I have my fabric picked out and washed. Now I just need to do all the ironing, cutting and stuffing envelopes. You ladies are fast

daisey 08-06-2012 06:29 PM

Thanks Kelly, but like I said foir some reason I dont have one..

jaba 08-06-2012 06:56 PM

daisey, don't click post quick reply, didn't work for me. Click on GO ADVANCED, then you go to your pics wherever you save them on your computer, click upload and it will appear here....takes awhile sometimes be patient. Hope this helps maybe?

marytoddliz 08-07-2012 05:08 AM

To get that in your quick reply you have to have your settings set up that way, some one walked me through it when we first started with the new look, I just can't remember how to set up my settings!

LovingIzabella 08-07-2012 06:33 AM

Come one come all and join this super fun swap!

Sigh...we still have a long time before sign up closes don't we April?

How are we looking on #'s so far...do we need to hijack other swap threads with hints of fun and adventure so they'll swamp you with sign ups?

I found some of the russian doll fabric at equilter: http://www.equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc...17112457802.d3. It may not be exact, but is similar.
