Oh, I'm so excited! Welcome to our swap, new swappers! Glad you found us and decided to jump onboard!

Oh MizMelly I'd kill for 80 right now. I'm a wimp! High 50's today for us:( and yes I'm whining! I don't know how you snow covered people exist!

I'd kill for 50! It gets hot and stays hot for almost 8 months of the year here, so when we actually get "winter" weather, we love it! And I agree, I don't know how all those people who get snow deal with it. We shovel sunshine about 350 days out of the year. Of course now they are calling for a slight chance of rain and cooler temps for Friday. We do celebrate when we get rain. And hopefully more snow for the high country. We've been dealing with drought conditions for so long that we pray for snow and rain to ease up on the water restrictions.

I would kill for a balm 75 year round.
Yes I KNOW that means I would have to move to a tropical
climate, but I can handle that kind of hardship.

LOL

There are times when I certainly miss living in the tropics. Record low of 68* and record high of 88*! Of course being a bazillion miles from anywhere made some things a bit difficult at times. Like when the commissary ran out of paper products during a dock workers strike...

Hi! I am new to this board and to the swaps here - but not new to swaps! I am learning to quilt and re-learning how to sew - sewed bunches when my children were young, but am now sewing for a new generation. Made table runners for Christmas presents for my children, so this swap is just in time.

Thanks -

So glad you found this thread, now you can just keep making table runners or mats and the kids will get one for every holiday of the year  Welcome aboard!
"grasshoppers" do they have patience? I'm a tryin' boss, I'm a tryin'..........

I like coffee themes, sewing themes, wine themes :p, St. Patrick's would be nice, too.

I like wine! oh oh your talking FABRIC :) how goes it in table runner land?

I can honestly say now living in WYOMING and previously in the SIERRA's in CA, that the best place I loved snow: SEDONA ARIZONA, you got this beautiful snow, it dusted everything all over the rust colored mountains and then.. it was melted enough to drive by 10 am. this is how snow should be. light, fluffy, and melted. It was pretty cold at night there but warm enough to wear just a flannel shirt in the day. That is my kind of winter. None of the Sierras 3-6 feet of snow.. and none of this ICE on the road Wyoming has to offer. Still have snow on the ground from the last time it snowed 10 days ago.. nope snow is not all that guys promise you. Come visit in Dec or Jan surely you can get your fill in about 10 minutes then come inside and enjoy it the way it should be enjoyed. from a warm building with a big window :)

Brat, the way I've always thought snow should be: Only on the rooftops, grass and trees. If it would stay off the roads and sidewalks, I'd be fine with it!

Oh, yes -- here are some of my favorite things: Cats, chickens and roosters, lighthouses and the ocean, bright colors (my favorite is red) and black and white, reading, cooking and, now, sewing.
