The skyscrapers are a great idea. As you said, some people live in the cities.
Thanks everyone for the incouraging words. I'm very happy you like my work!

Hi travelinggramma,
Its called Welcome to Our Home, published in the early 1990's, I just stumble on it, and was glad to be able to find one to purchase! Here is the link to Amazon, where I got mine: http://www.amazon.com/Welcome-Our-Ho...8829144&sr=8-1

OK, I'm going to have to STOP throwing out my selvages! :)

I saw a house wallhanging that had blocks with potted flowers and such as 'fillers' between the blocks. It looked like a cute neighborhood.

Annaquilts 02-10-2012 10:56 AM

Hehehe I want DH to order it for me. My birthday is next week. It looks very promising.

Sorry gals, for tempting you with the book...;) In my little ole opinion it is a great book! I wasn't sure how it would be when I ordered it, considering the older publication date...but it is full of great little abodes! If you feel any better, I also paid more to ship it than I paid for the book...lol
Take care all,
K

Crafty3790 02-10-2012 12:06 PM

The book was only 45 cents the shipping was $3.99

maine ladybug 02-10-2012 12:54 PM

Same for me! What a riot, that the postage is 10 times more than the book!

These are the last of my blocks. I have finished 4 sets of 3 to be sent out. 3 birdhouses, 3 lighthouses, and 6 churchs

Crafty3790 02-10-2012 08:31 PM

You are on a roll there great.

sew1096 02-11-2012 02:50 AM

I love the lighthouses. They make me think of my Mom. She always wanted to live in one!

Abonda I love all your houses. The beehive is so different and the dog house is so cute!

All the blocks are just fabulous. I have two simple sets done - a set of 3 birdhouses and 3 little houses. I'll try to get pictures posted soon.

QuilterMomma 02-11-2012 08:26 AM

Abonda, love your blocks. I expecially love that poodle. It is so cute. Would love that one in my collection.

LOL! I had it in my head that they were due by the end of the month...turns out the sign-ups are until the end of February and the blocks aren't due until April 15th!!! Oh well, I've always said I'd rather be early than late.

Difergie 02-14-2012 02:54 PM
