Anybody interested in "Beach walk Row Houses"? I still have to add the detail work. But, I had a great time digging through scraps to make this set.

My list just keeps getting bigger. What's a person to do?

I know exactly how you feel. I am so greedy but I want one of them all!! They are all so creative and beautiful.

But I think I've talked myself out of it because I know my blocks cannot match the fancy blocks that have been shown here and won't be able to receive one of those with all the requests for them. I guess I'll keep my funky and wonky blocks for my own UFO.

Stay MaryMo and have some fun with us.

I'm feeling the same as you because my houses are very simple. But I know all these ladies are so warm and caring that they won't mind if I'm not quite as creative as they are. And...I hope it will inspire me to get better for the next one.

Of course I want one. My granddaughter (Princess Kaitlyn as she calls herself) would love to see a castle in my "neighborhood."

sew1096 02-21-2012 05:49 AM

Well as you can see by all my comments it has been a few days since I checked in the group. I still haven't taken pictures yet but I'm about ready to mail them in. I'm heading down to my SIL's house for a sewing get-together. She has dial up though so I might not be able to get in as much for a couple of weeks but I'll do my best.

Judith1005 02-21-2012 06:36 AM

ooo, but a sewing get together will be sew much fun!! Have a great time.!

QuilterMomma 02-21-2012 07:44 AM

I do agree, these houses are looking so wonderful. Now really, are there any "simple" houses? I have enjoyed watching the creativity here and it inspires me to do better. I, for one, do not mind the "simple" because it allows me to do as I want when putting the blocks together. I live in a simple neighborhood, but each neighbor adds their own flair to their yard which gives it a little pop. So keep them coming. And by the way, I really do think the castle is neat, it is intuitive.

Those are very sweet. Are they 3 1/2 in.? I am also in the paper piecing swap and plan to try a hand at some tiny 3 1/2 in. blocks done paper pieced. I am intrigued with those little blocks now but have not made any smaller then 6 1/2 in.
All those blocks are very cute Deb.

That is a very cute block. All the fabrics are so happy and unique. I would have never though of using bug fabric or umbrella fabric but it sure works.

If we get 30 does that mean we can do 5 sets so we get one of everyones?

Now that sounds fun! Remind me, the limit is 4 sets, but we only do three houses per set. (Not the normal 6 blocks per set) Right?

Crafty3790 02-21-2012 04:31 PM

I'm letting you do more than the limit. I didn't realize it was only 12 so you can do more sets of 3 if you want. And if it adds up I can arrange that.
those are 61/2" blocks but I got the cutest 31/2" ones in the mail I will post pics of them next to the 61/2" so you can see them.

maine ladybug 02-21-2012 07:15 PM

Crafty, did you get my 12 in the mail yet? I'm just wondering if they made it to you.

Crafty3790 02-22-2012 04:21 AM

I'm sorry I thought I mentioned it yes I did I will post later those I received so far.

QuilterMomma 02-22-2012 08:23 AM

Ok, Crafty, sounds great. I will do as many as I can before the actual deadline. I was asked to make blocks for a baby quilt now. Boy, I just wanna have fun. I am so over baby quilts. My kids are all in highschool and college. I am not ready to do baby quilts. My grandchildren will have the most quilts ever. Had to quit making them for nieces, their mom does not use them. She is overloaded with quilts. So, just sticking to decorating my walls with them and this one will be nice to display at work. Looking forward to all the different houses.

hoppyfrog 02-22-2012 05:01 PM

I'm in. Don't know how many I'll get made but I'm hoping for a dozen.
Shelley
