It would take a wee bit of organising, but is sounding quite possible. I'd be happy to help, although not sure if there's much I can do from here.

What about colour rules... anything goes on a white background?

i think that might be best - white with some sort of period type calico - otherwise if we're true to the design just about everyone would have to buy fabric - unless you happen to collect civil war reproductions.

we could have a team of people to help get it off the ground. we could have 1 person assign blocks, the 1 person in charge to help with questions/construction, then someone else can sort/ship.

lets see what others have to say about doing this.

some people might think its better to do in the fall when people spend more time at home and would prefer a breezy swap for the summer months.

i'm open to other swaps - we have a nice list going and within the next 12 months we should be able to do them all :D

i forgot its winter by you - i should have know that.

we could do a Dear Hannah - which is a modern take on the Dear Jane.

EQ has software on Dear Hannah - they're really beautiful blocks and i think most of them are easier than Dear Jane.

That's one thing I didn't realise... you have to buy the patterns. I thought it was freely available on the net.

i think the Dear Jane is free on the web but the Hannah we'd have to figure it out or buy it.

How big are these blocks?

i think the Jane blocks are 5 inches
